FIFTY SEVEN

"I heard that they made you the pink girls' team leader?" BAMBAM came from behind and sat with me in the piano room.
" I have just been told. At first I thought it was just a prank but I guess shock on me right?"
" Why are you putting it as if it is a death sentence?"
" For me, it is more of a death on the electric chair... Just imagine leading a group of girls who already hate you and one who has a really big bone to chew with you."
" Well if you put it that way, then I guess it was a really bad idea..."
" Bad doesn't describe it best. It is more of a terrible idea really."
" You seriously have your ways with words Lensah... "
" I can't complain about that. I guess you can blame my dad for that. Anyway what are you still doing here, I thought you already left?"
" I was just finishing with my work and I didn't want to leave without seeing you first. By the way, why are you here alone?"
" Oh, I was having a chat with my members who ambushed me with the group leader thing news. They have just left not long ago. I want to practice my part of the Infinite's BAD song. I was tasked with the high noted. I really want to do my best this time round. I don't want Tae to have a scolding from my mother again."
" So it is that serious ha!"
" Very... "
" Ok then, I wish you the best then. I will be leaving now. I have to see Perth off to the airport. Saint is still around so I believe you will not get bored. I guess even Ten will be joining any day from now."
"Yes... Thanks Bambam for being here. It meant a lot."
" Oi! P', คุณเริ่มอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตนกับฉันเมื่อไหร่?คุณเริ่มอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตนกับฉันเมื่อไหร่?( When did you start being humble with me?) Come here" and with that he gave me a very warm hug, " The P' Lensah I know is a fighter. Do you ok, don't give up just because of the challenges that are thrown your way ok P'? You will rock being a group leader... Su su na!"
" Thank you Ai Bambam. I will keep that in mind. " I said hugging him back. It felt like all my courage came back abruptly. I felt like I had been given a chance to redeem my lost glory. I guess talking to Bambam was another way of assuring me that I had a large support base that was behind me all the time. After the heart to heart chat with Bambam, he left me trying to fine tune my high noted.

The meeting with the girls was not that bad if you ignore the states that I got from Rae who I think was still holding a grudge. They promised to support me and listen to my instructions being that our team was at the last position. They even said that they believed in my leadership skills. Talk about being smeared with praises. I just promised to do my best as their leader.

All this talk happened at the piano room because they also wanted to show me the much practice they had been doing while I was concentrating with my elimination task. They had just gone to have their lunch then come back to join me in the same piano room so that at last we could practice together.I was truly nervous being that I had done the dance alone in my mind by watching Jackson's clip over and over. I was afraid of the practice especially now that I am sure Rae will not miss a chance to correct me.

They didn't take long to come back. We decided to sing out loud first before going for the dance practice. I do the work of playing the piano so that we remained on the right key. I also helped out to pitch different parts. I made us sing the whole song like a choir without partitioning it so that to make them familiar with the song itself.

With our first performance of the GFriend song Me Gustas Tu, Rae never gave us any choices to made. We had to follow her instructions blindly. My aim was to make everyone comfortable. From the little exercise of sing the whole song as a choir, even the rapping part, I came to learn that Miki was a very good rapper. I was tempted to change the singing parts as earlier assigned by Rae and the rest but I felt that it would bring a picture that I wanted to brag to about my newly formed leadership post.
