“Why are we video chatting again. Did I miss a family memo or e-mail?” that was the first sentence that came out of my mouth a few minutes after getting back to my room after the disturbing reality check that tonight I will be competing against my dear little Cai.
‘’ We need to talk… we know how your weird brain works so we don’t want you to pull a fast one on us” that was Tae answering me. I guess I expected that much from them at this point. Especially now that our chat ended prematurely... wait, did he say we? That meant that it was a family meeting.
“Lensah, please tell us what you are thinking so that we don’t get a shock” that was Kai
“Or a scolding from mama” Jimin joined the conversation.
“I guess I saw this coming really… I really want to win this thing… I want to prove it to you that I am as talented as you… gosh even the twins are making a name of themselves… what about the likes of Kino, Brian, . These are just kids that grew before my eyes and now they are making it big. Some I even taught them how to dance. Let me start with how if I fail, Timotheo, your best friend Tae will make fun of me. I am shocked that Ravi has not yet come to make fun of my Mi Gusta Tu fiasco. Even Jackson beat him to it. I am stress truth be told. I am not at piece especially with the powerful playlist that the boys have in their hands. I know the girls are good but this is little Cai who never backs out of a competition…”
“Damn woman, are you sure you are not drunk because this is crazy” Kai said
“I told you guys that we call earlier. Should we be scared over here? Next time I will go with my guts. Look at how her face spells distressed” Tae was the one who talked next.
“Now if she is this way, what about little Cai?” Jimin asked
“I think Jackson and Felix are talking to him” Kai answered.
“I am happy that you are concerned about me but don’t be sympathetic with me. You know I hate it so much” I said, trying my best not to shade any tears
“We are not sympathetic stupid, we even brought back up for this imagine” Tae said and then added the last person I expected to talk to...
“IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.MMMMMMMMMMMMMM…………. OH MY GOD” I shouted
“See, I told you that I am the most loved amongst all of us. I wish we had betted “I.M said
“I thought being in Monsta X made you humble... I guess not” Kai said while shaking his head.
“Do we have that phrase in our vocabulary really?” I.M asked while seriously smiling sarcastically.
“I told you to call Lee Minho instead but no, you had to call this kid instead with his sarcasm that now seems to have grown plastic horns...” Kai said angrily
“Lee Minho is busy taking care of his family, let him be. The wife will complain, you just know how jealous she is of our family bond” I said while smiling at I.M.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet I.M of Monsta X, another member of our great family. From the same team, I am friends with Kihyun. That’s a story of another day. I.M and I know each other because he was the only Korean boy who could understand me when I used to talk so much English back in my junior elementary school. He is conversant in English so we became friends because of the English. He is also the one who can do what the three can never do, make me stop mind what people will think about me. I guess his experience during the reality show that created Monsta X, made him be this mean looking idol that can pull a no nonsense face in the middle of a joke. Trust me… he can be savage in capital letters.
“At last a smile. So idiot Lensah, you are going against your son, so what… it will be girls against boys so it means that it is not your own strength. The judges will not be judging you individually. Shit… I thought that the idiotic Rae woman pulled another stupid joke on you… yes! I got the news, oh and yes, Kihyun is still waiting to make fun of you… yes, I laugh at you … oh, just for the record, I was the one who told mama… shoot me if you can, I am waiting..Ha! “
“WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT” we all shouted. I guess I was too loud because my pink monster roommate came to see what was happening.” Sorry” I said and went out to react to this shocking information.
“I.M really, do you know how mama quarreled us?” Jimin complained
“I can still recall the conversation. It is still haunting me until today” Tae said looking distressed
“You are lucky that you are very far from my foot young man.” Kai said
“Serve you right. I understand the three boys over here not telling me your whereabouts just because I know they are jealous of our bond…!” I.M said before being cut of
“Which bond. I practically grew up with Lensah. We are literally twinsssssssss” Tae bragged
“I am her heart, we even have a child together…”Jimin said his part
“I don’t need to brag about anything… damn it, I ant still believe that I suffered because of your anger… you had to punish us harshly like that?” Kai complained
“Next time you will not exclude me in anything. Now that this small thing has defeated you, you look for me” I.M said still laughing
“I still insist that Lee Minho was the best option. Oppa is not this weaked.” Kai still insisted
“Note taken Kai… I.M is a good evil being. I think if we looked for Zico, he would have…” Tae said
“The mention of the name gives me the creeps… Never get those ideas please.” Jimin said literally shivering.
Among my so many idol friends, the most savage is Zico and I know that if he knew what was happening to me, he would literally bring himself physically to the competition to make sure that I don’t embarrass “OUR FAMILY” Little Cai is afraid of him the most. Even as a young boy, he used to cry whenever he saw him near him. Truth be told, I understand where I.M’s anger comes from. I am in Korea but I never contacted him. I have not seen many of my idol friends. I guess that with the far we have come, if the likes of Jimin, Taemin and Kai know that I came back, that qualifies him, Taeyang of SF9 and San of Ateez to also know that I am around. Seriously, now that I think about it, the other two will skin me alive.
“From the face you are making, it seems that I am not the only one who didn’t know about your grand comeback, ha! Girrrl, you will be in hot soup when Maria and San know you are back…” I.M said laughing.
All of us sighed. Seriously, did I.M come to give me courage or just to show me how bad of a friend I was
“I will not stop saying that Oppa was the best guy for this damn… this kid is savage” kai still insisted.
“Hahahaha, Kai, I take that as a compliment. Thank you… Lensah, I hope now you know my capability so just try to go soft on that kid of yours, I will not only haunt these beloved brothers of yours using mama dearie but I will bring all your forgotten friends to grill your sorry ass ok? And not only the Korean ones, even the Thai and Chinese ones… remember, we learnt in an international school so your friends are rich brats that are from all over the world… Bye, Kihyun is calling me for dinner… oh let me here that you never won, I will start with Kihyun and trust me I am an angel compared to him.
