WALK THROUGH WALLS

SEVENTY EIGHT.

" Please mum, wake up, don't worry me this much. Please mum, wake up." I could hear people talking. But why can't I open my eyes. I can remember that we had just finished our performance. We were on the couch as the curtains closed and the other contestants were clapping. I guess with the many dynamics in the song that we managed to execute, we earned their admiration but what next... Everything all over sudden became dark and I remember falling down. Damn, I thought I had tackled the anger I had in the morning. Usually I can hear the people around me talking but I can't talk or open my eyes. I felt my eyes tear up. I guess this is what happens when I pretend to be strong. Poor little Cai, I know he is panicking.

" Let us take her to the nurse's office so that she checks her out. I will carry her. Please, don't alert the others, they will panic." I could make out that that was Korn talking. It was hard to imagine what others were doing.," Tem, take little Cai away and help calm him down. Eugene, go and stay at the audience so that we are not penalised for not watching the others. Act natural. I can manage to take her to the nurse's office."

" What about calling the family. They can give us the way out." Eugene said.

" Let Cai cool down and then he will help us with the contacts." Korn said and then I felt them moving. " Hold on Ai Lensah, don't die on us .. you should not put so much pressure on yourself." And then, it went silent again.

"Guys, this is bad. It has been one hour and still nothing. I think we should alert...hello....uncle Tae... Yes..... you are looking for us... Well, something happened... We are at the nurse's office... It is mum Lensah...she fainted after the performance....I  am sorry, I thought she will wake up after sometime.... Ok... No, I have not told the family, I wanted to call father just now...ok. Are you coming?.... Ok, we will be waiting...yes, the nurse said we let her take a rest...warm water and sugar?...ok, I will go find from the cafeteria...ok then...no, I am not leaving her alone...our other team members are here with her....no only our team members...ok." I think this was Cai talking to Tae.

"Tae is coming, let me go and find some warm water and sugar. Take care of my mum. If she shows any changes, call me ok!" Cai said

" Should I go instead, I know you don't want to leave her, remain here, warm water and sugar right?" That was Eugene if I was not wrong.

At some point I could not hear anything they were saying. I felt as if I was falling inside a ditch. My thoughts were mumbled up. I felt as if my childhood was being replayed before me... My first time in a public Korean school, our mischief with Tae, when Tae was scouted and joined SM as a trainee at the age of fourteen. That time I remember crying as if I will never see him ever again. I started tearing up again. Suddenly, I saw the new friend who came to keep me company especially when Kai, Tae and Jimin were not around, Taeyang of SF9. We used to have so many dance competition so that I can be a trainee at the same company as Tae. I never thought that Kai would be the first to join the same company as Tae before me. Before going back to Kenya, I remember Taeyang promising me that he will be famous and make me see him on TV. Again everything went dark and I could hear people talking.

"This is bad. We have a face-off challenge by the Red team to head to and we are still here... What should I do?" I think it was Eugene talking.

"Stop panicking dear leader. We can always challenge them later. Our priority now if the wellbeing of Lensah. Did you get the water and sugar?" Someone asked.

"Yes, they were even kind enough to give me a thermos. What is is for?" Eugene asked

'' Wait and see . Oh, judge Tae is here. I guess he is the one Cai was talking to on the phone. Annyeonghaseyo!" The person said.

" Annyeonghaseyo! How is she fairing, any improvement?" Tae asked.

"None whatsoever. I thought she will be up by now. Does she have this problem ever?" Tem spoke, I think.
