THIRTY EIGHT

"Hi, I was told that you are looking for me krab, what do you want." That's the greeting I decided to go with while talking to Bambam. I was still mad at him for showing Jimin the photo that I sent him. He knew very well that Jimin would be jealous but still he did it.
" Swadeekaa m'amie. Long time no hear from you P'Lensah. How are you appart from the part where you fall flat on your butt on stage. Hahahaha...."
" Have you finished laughing at me so that I hang up?"
" Why the anger my dear, you know that I am just warming you up for the mockery that Jackson and your beloved Mark Tuan are planning to tomorrow my dear.."
" They are psyched up ha!"
" So much that they have even decided to finish their assignments today so that tomorrow they Risa up earlier just to be on time when you enter the gates of your house. They have even bought you tissues so that when you cry, you can wipe your tears because they plan to pick you until you cry, claiming that you owe them big time."
"Seriously Jackson can be a handful sometimes. He is still holding a grudge of what I did to him back when we were young."
" So, you do know why he is really out to get you good. Anyways tell me what happened that a stupid song like Me Gustas Tu by Girlfriends can make you trip and fall down while dancing. Were you  dizzy or something?"
"It's not like so, believe me that I was tripled on the stage by the group leader..."
" Oh, the Pink monster or..."
" No, that's my roommate. My team members are mostly Koreans so the group leader is an evil witch who is out to get me eliminated because I never tolerate her stupidity. I made her cry one day so this was her revenge which caused us to be the bottom group."
" Woooh, that's bad Fra...and how I !now you can be when you are telling someone off"
" Hey, are you comforting me or criticizing me P'Bam?"
" Hey, again with the P' thingy but I will let it slide just because you are angry"
"Who told you I am angry, I am furious, there is a difference.."
" Ok, Hai Lensah krab! So what is your plan if you have any?"
" I just want to go to my house and sleep and just forget this damn competition for the day."
" When are you coming back? I could pick you up so that you don't stay alone na!"
" Can you do that for me without pissing me off"
" You know you prefer me than the rest because I tell you like it is.. no bearing around the bushes when P'Bam is concerned au sio!"
" Mmhh, you know me too well. Ok then I will tell you when am through. We have a karaoke night activity today so I want to perform the first then I leave. The left me a car so I guess I can pick you up or..."
" Don't pick me up, I will leave the house and we meet at your place so that the two devils can not know that I am with you ok?"
" It's a plan then. Thanks again for the chitchat but I have not yet forgiven you remember that."
" Hey, did you hear me asking for forgiveness at anytime? The Bible says that there is time for everything and I know that when the time come, you will forgive me from the bottom of your heart m'amie... By the way, what song will you perform?"
" I was thinking of a Swahili song but ten come to think of it, my message will not reach the targeted audience.."
" Mmmmmh, the devious Lensah is back. So what is this big plan you got in your scheming brains.?"
" Oh, apparently, do you know that I was never given a part to sing today because I am not Korean enough!"
"  Damn, that cruel..."
" Yeah, so I want to sing an oldie Korean song to send the message home that I am more Korean than anyone here.."
" Nice, I will tell! Cai to record it for me.?"
" Do whatever you want P'BAM"
" Lensah..... So I take my charges in dollars. When am I expecting my money to be wired on my bank account?"
" P' saraleo...."
" Am glad that you are laughing again. Take heart, j believe you can fight that witch even without using much effort. Your talent is out of this world my African friend. Just hold you head up high and show them what you are made of ok? Su su na!"
"Kapunka!"
" No need to be so polite to me, we are friends.. later then."
" Ok then. Will call you when I finish here."

After talking to Bambam, j went back to the room to take a warm bath then went to take my dinner. Before that, I packed up my dirty clothes and my laptop and went out with my back straight to the cat because I was planning to leave immediately.

Then I went to pick my dinner and sat at the usual table with my friends. They were all discussing the performance of the day. From them, I learnt that Eugene and Cai were the best in their groups while Aggie and P' Korn were number two in their groups. Tem and I were the last. We had an additional member to the table, Miki, who decided to be my fairy godmother kind of. She was so concerned about me much that she never left Aggie, at least that was what Aggie told me. Cai as usual commented about missing a Vietnamese for us to be a full Asian band.

For the weekend, Aggie, Miki, Korn and Tem had to go and report to their agencies while Cai already had the winners trip. I had to tell them that I was not planning to be there this night after my performance. We promised to keep in touch with Cai creating a chatroom and adding all of us.

The karaoke night activity started at six thirty in the evening. When everyone had settled, I went Infront and announced my presence in Korean then English...
