FIFTY THREE

‘’ Ladies and gentlemen, we want to welcome you again to the part that you were waiting eagerly, to know who will be remaining here with us or who will be going back home. All I can say is that I am very proud of these ladies and gentlemen standing in front of us today. Distinguished judges, you might not know this but all of them had to learn all the six songs that were sang by the different groups. The songs were sent to them on Sunday and they had only three days to learn them. The songs that they sang were just chosen randomly and given to them here on this stage and that is why I want to salute them. “The audience gave us a hearty clap. ‘’ without farther boring you with a very long speech, I would like to introduce our judges for today who will tell us what they thought about the performance.’’
With that, the audience clapped again as Bambam came to the stage.
“Hello everybody. I am Bambam of Got7 and I am very happy to be here with you all. I was shocked when I was told that I will be a judge to an elimination competition. I know that it was a rollercoaster to all these constants especially when they had to learn six songs yet they were going to sing only one but trust me, that’s the tip of being in this industry. The advice I can give you is that no matter the outcome today, you should not take it to heart. I was also told that we have contestants from different parts of Asia representing different companies and music academies. That shows that you were picked among many from wherever you came from so you are already a winner in the eyes of your institutions. Whatever the outcome, you are great already. Anyway, apparently being that I am a local, I am supposed to introduce the rest of my team who came from Thailand. I believe that you must know them being that they are well known being that they even have a series starring them two as the main characters. So help me welcome Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana and  Perth Tanapon Sukumpantanasan on stage. They are actors and singers. Saint debut with the boy band KissBoysTH and was from a programme like this so I guess he can tell you his experience while Perth is the main Vocal for the Thai boy band TEMPT…’’
The two walked to the stage welcomed with claps from all the people present.
At this point I didn’t know how to feel. There stood my two friends Bambam and saint and also my favorite actor of love by chance the series, Perth. Should I be angry that Saint was in South Korea without informing that he had arrived or that my fate lies on Bambam who was at the same place with me and he never gave me a hint.  Maybe it was for the good that I didn’t know that Bambam was here because I would have been even more tensed. That is how I wanted to convince myself. At this point of time, I saw that they came said their greetings Thai way then talked about many things I was not paying attention to being that I was still worried of the outcome of the competition. Then they went to sit.

‘’ hey Lensah!’’
‘’YES’’ Tem’s shake brought me back to the venue. We were supposed to go and sit as we waited for the judges’ verdicts. I just followed him back. Then it was Saint talking and he was very serious when doing this,
“I guess my fellow judges have decided to make me the bad guy here, but I think it is better to talk about your mistakes than to be the one to read the results ha! Ok then, I will be mentioning the artist and the song being that we even don’t know the names of the contestants who sang the song. I also have to tell you that your fellow team mates were the ones who voted for who to stay and who will be leaving according to the masks that you are wearing so I can say that the voting was according to the effort that you put in your work. You will even realize that your enemy might have voted for you. So here is our verdicts

Love falls by Juniel and CNBLUE
I noticed that when this team sang the song, the male voice was more powerful than the female one. I also noted that it was kind of they were fighting or struggling within themselves as if they had not practiced together. The song itself is beautiful. The beats are very moving but this team really did some injustice to the song.
Stay with me by Chanyeol and Punch
We as the judges felt that this was the easiest song among all these songs. The song itself I already a duet by a male and female so we never understood why the team had to pitch it so high that the female voice was kind of shouting rather than singing.
Gaw Jeum by A. N Jell
This team’s weakness was that the girl’s voice was kind of high pitched so the male voice was struggling to hit the high notes. The diction was kind of perfect so we knew that they really worked on that.
Unconditional love by Nat Sakdatorn and Tol Vonthongchai.
This song is originally from my country so I expected so much being that it was sang by my two friends. The male voice was more powerful than the female. It is originally sang as a duet by two male voices but I expected that the team that had this song would have had an easy time performing it. It was really disappointing for me as a Thai person. The diction was also a very big problem. I guess the team were not from Thailand but that should not be a reason.
Endless love by Jackie Chan and Kim Hee Sun
This team was very comfortable with the song. The male voice at some point was taking over but the female voice was always toning it down. Please, singing is not like dancing where you let your partner to take the lead. The two had very powerful vocal ability especially the male voice.
Thorn by Buzz
Lastly we have this song that was beautifully sang. You could notice the chemistry between the singers. They sang this song as if they were singing to each other. Though they were wearing the masks, their voices emitted their emotions of which it told more about the singers. I think Buzz will be very happy with the work that these two artists did. For us as judges, we felt that our special encore will go to these team that sang this song.
Before I sit, I was told that I should also announce the best voice according to us and we as the judges settled on the butterfly masked singers as our best voice so I don’t know if they will be performing a duet again or… but it’s up to them. Thank you and from the judges’ desk we say that may the best team win.
After Saint sat down, it was Perth’s turn to announce the winners. At this moment, we were again to stand at the stage but this time round, we removed our masks. When I was removing my mask, I noticed that Bambam and Saint’s eyes were glued on me with shock written on their face. The audience went on a frenzy but I didn’t know why.
