" You did fast. Are you sure you are a woman really?" That was the speech that welcomed me at the parking lot. I always get this question all the time. People wondering why I don't take my sweet time bathing or showering. I never get the logic behind a person spending so many hours taking a bath, that he or she does everyday... What is it that they wash in those many hours that they don't wash everyday whenever they bath????
" In will ignore that question and treat it as a rhetorical question my friend. So what car have you decided on?"
" I feel like riding the red one today."
" I thought you said that you hate being the centre of attraction!"
" And that is why my dear Fra, we are going for the first mass because Koreans hate waking up early on Sundays..."
" Ooiii, so the boy had it all planned out ha!"
" You better learn a thing or two hehe!"
" Yes stray kid Felix Yeng..."
" Hey Lensah, don't try and mention my full name least I leave you here to walk to church and trust me, the holy spirit is working his miracle of wisdom right now.."
" Oooiiii, since when did you become evil like my brothers... You can even make a threat sound like a prayer..damn Jackson is influencing you badly my Aussie sweetheart."
" My African friend, stop with the complaints and ener the car, we are late already." He then entered the car, put on his seatbelt, made sure that I wore mine and then drove off.

There was this wierd silence in the car. My mind was filled with many things especially the list that was sent to us by the  organisers. Apparently, this week's challenge was about dancing and singing to the K-pop boy bands and our team got Infinite-bad. Ok I am not sad about the song because I love the group or is it that I love L, and being that it has English parts, I know that I might get to sing a part this time round even if it's just singing BAD till it ends. My big challenge was the six list of songs that we were assigned for the elimination round. They are both from Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia and even Vietnam. I don't know who came up with the idea to punish us this much and I even heard that the elimination round competition will be held on Wednesday which means that I have three days to learn the lyrics of all the six songs, and still learn the choreography of the assigned song. I predicted that this week will be my most altimate test of my life but I never thought it would be this tight.
I was brought back to the present world situation when Felix asked me about the teasing that I got yesterday.

" Don't mind them, they already know that I am working on my comeback which will be today, just watch and see what I do to them. I will start slowly with the weakest one... Mark Tuan"
" Poor Mark! I like the guy, he is lovable.."
" And that's why he his the weakest and easier to attack"
" What will you do to him.."
" Oh hoh, I love you Fel but I can't tell you my plans.. you just said you like the guy and with the holy spirit working his miracle on you.. who knows, you might be directed by the spirit to speak in tougues and spill the plan to him, no thank you or should I say, gomawayo!"
" Damn, you just had to use my words against me like that."
" Chonmaneyo!"

And with that our heated conversation ended. It has always been a behaviour of mine to not let anyone get the better of me. For Felix I decided to go way on him so as to not 'chase him away' like Jackson might claim if he ever stopped hunting out with us.
The church was not fully parked so it was easy to get a parking spot and then we headed to the front after blessing ourself with the holy water at the entrance. The mass was not that long -the other thing about English masses- so we had more time to meet the kids who were already assembled when we reached the church hall. Fr. was not there but they were so organised they reminded me of the PMC kids that I used to mentor back at home in Kenya. The chairman was Infront, organising the choir, liturgical dancers and the rest were just there.

I had decided to download the song so that I can let them here the melody first then to writete lyrics in Swahili so as to help them with the diction. After doing all that, I took the liturgical dancers together with Felix to teach them the dance. Felix has always been a fast learner so when I taught and he was comfortable with the movements, I left him with the dancers and went to continue teaching the choir. I loved working with this kids because they were really dedicated and determined. After about half an hour, we Felix and the dancers came back and we sung the song while the dancers danced. I started by the offertory  song "Baba tunaleta vipaji by Star High School in Kenya" I have always loved the song and the dance style is always just out of this world.. always bring back fond memories.

I was amazed at how fast the kids learnt the song and even though they had some diction problems, the process was fun. Seeing that we had planned to be there for two hours and we only used half an hour, I decided to teach them an entry song, ' Nalifurahi waliponiambia 'this one I wrote the lyrics and we just sung without dancing. By the time we were finishing, Fr. had already come to monitor the progress.

We had to leave because Felix got a call from the audio so I had to drop him there before heading home.
" I guess you will have to be told how I did my revenge to Mark!"
" I guess so. By the way, apart from the fact that you fell on stage, you are a talented dancer you know that"
" What the hell dude, I thought we have forgotten about the falling on stage thing..agh!"
" Don't be angry... I am just repeating what the kids were commenting about you."
" I guess the whole world now knows how I embarrassed myself on national television..."
" Even Fr. was mocking you but I requested that he doesn't do it loudly if he wants a peaceful Sunday morning haha. I guess this is my stop.. don't think too much of the past event Lensah, you will do great. I know that you have six different languages songs to learn for the elimination round competition, you are multilingual already and I believe those songs are not new to you... Yes, don't look at me like that, little Cai showed us the message.. you will be great. Heck, you have managed to teach Korean kids two Swahili songs in a span of one hour... Just believe in yourself ok! I will call you later. Drive safe back home..."

" Ok then Fel, enjoy your Sunday." He then alighted and went away leaving me with so !any things to think about. At that moment my phone ring and as usual, it was Jimin asking when I am coming back and why I decided to leave him behind. I knew that I had to go to the supermarket to but not only one but several tubes of ice-cream, one to appease the angry Jimin, two, little Cai brought me the twisted Korean donuts so I have to pay back in kind, then I have the two big GOT7 kids, Jackson and Bambam who will never shut up if I don't buy give them. I also had to buy liters and liters of frozen yoghurt for V and Mjungu... For Kai and Tae, chocolates do the trick.
