WALK THROUGH WALLS

THIRTY SEVEN.

" There you are. I have been looking for you everywhere P'." I didn't need to look at the owner of the sound, "everyone is concerned about you, are you ok!"
" Am ok P', I just needed somewhere to vent my anger. The basketball was the unlucky one." I said while still lying on the ground. " Have you already have your lunch?"
" Yes but Cai said that you will need chicken and all will be well so I brought you some fried chicken." P'Tem said while setting the lunch box down then he sat with me. He also helped me wash my hands then I started eating.
" So what really happened back there. I just saw that your team members were really pissed off with the Rae girl. After the judges evaluation, the Rae girl was crying bitterly. She was complaining so much but in Korean language so some words passed me but I was hearing her mentioning your name so I knew that you were involved in the mess."
" It's nothing. The girl decided to take her revenge on me on the stage. She made me trip during the performance. I was the last one in our group so it means that I em in the relegation stage. I never thought she will be that mad. I hate her damn." Then I went back to attack my chicken.
" I guess we will be singing a duet together with you next week. I was the last one in my group also."
" That's a positive outcome I guess. So when will we know the song to perform."
" We were told that we will be singing six songs. All the teams will sing the same songs but during the relegation we will choose the song as we enter the stage."
" Wooh , that's a wierd way to eliminate us."
" Yeah. We have to master all the six songs and they are from K-pop artists. I also heard something like the other contestants will be the ones to eliminate us."
" Woooh, I should park my things already if that's the case."
" Why are you sure you are going home?"
" I believe that the Rae girl will make sure I go home."
" Don't say that. Remember that we are in this together. If you get eliminated, it means that we go together so P'Lensah, let's put out our best game na,na,na krub!"
" If you beg me that much, how can I say no to my favourite Thai guy!"
" Thank you..." Before he finished, a little white boy came running calling his name.
" Hia Tem, Swadeekaa krab! " the boy gives Tem a wai then he sits down with us.
"Swadeekaa krab nong Koon-Chai Kang. Long time no see. I can't believe that you  are also in the competition and you never looked for me."
"P' you can't be serious, look at all these people present. I just knew you were around after I saw that you are in the relegation stage. I have been looking for you since then."
" Oh, they have already pinned our names?"
" Yes. Oh sorry, hello there?" Looking at me at last."
" Hi. Let me leave you two. It seems that you have a lot of catching up to do." I then stood up and left against Tem's refusal to let me go. I told him to tell Cai to wait for me at the piano room because I needed my phone. By then I knew that everyone was looking for me.

I walked to the piano room, ignoring the wierd stares that I was getting from the people around. Cai was already there playing a melody that Jimin always plays to calm me down. I guessed that Jimin must have told him to do that. I went and sat with him and put my head on his shoulder.
" Are you ok mum?" He asked while stopping to play the keys.
" I will be lying if I say that am ok... Maybe that I have cooled down a little will be the phrase to explain my current state of mind."
" Do you want to talk about it?"
" I will pass, thank you. I just need to clear my mind and think the next step, especially now that we are to prepare six duet songs and the other contestants are our judges.... I am scared little Cai. I know that my family and friends are hopeful that I will make it but for me, j see a disaster ahead. I know that while the Rae girl is around, I will never know the meaning of peace in this competition." I then sighed and closed my eyes.
" I am sorry I am of no help to you... I have seen that your duet partner is Tem. I have hopes that you will be fine."
" Enough about me, what about you, how was your performance..."
" Our team became first so tomorrow we will be touring Seoul city. I wish that I could be going home with you."
" You can always come when you finish, even if you will sleep for only a day, it will be a change from here."
" I guess I can also do that. By the way, Tae left you the car keys. When are you leaving here?"
" I don't want to stay even for another moment. I want to go and take my laptop then I leave."
" You are not staying for the karaoke night activity?"
" I didn't know they had that. I guess, I will stay for awhile. By the way where is my phone?"

" Why, j am the topic of discussion?"
" Yeah and they are going all out to make fun of you."
" You will get used to them so, learn from me kiddo, don't give them especially Jackson something to criticize you about. He will reduce you to dirt..."
" You are not afraid?"
" Why should I, even if I hide, tomorrow they will be waiting for me back home so it's better that I avail myself. Knowing them, I guess they will be waiting for a face to face mockery session."
" Hahaha, poor you. Anyway, you have a missed call from Bambam."
" Shit, now I know he wants to warm up with me. Let me go and hear what he wants. Thanks for the chicken during the lunch break. It did wonders for me."
" I will walk out with you. Let me go and look for Tem, we have a performance today night. Will you be performing also so that I register you?"
" I feel like driving a message to the stupid Rae girl. Sign me up, I am going to sing."
" Ok then mum. Talk to uncle Bambam while I look for Tem then. Later."
" Later. I left him at the basketball court awhile ago. Call him just incase."

I went out to look for a quiet place where I could throw all kinds of abuses to Bambam without feeling any remorse. We wanted to talk, then I will vent my anger on him.
