Wonwoo leaned back against the locker as he waited for Junhui to show up. His eyes traveled around his surroundings. For not liking school, there was sure a lot of people who hung around for the hell of it.

There were at least three different large groups closed in on themselves. Wonwoo knew that if he chose to eavesdrop on whatever they were talking about, he'd hear the same thing everyone uses for conversation these days--gossip and rumors.

Wonwoo hated how people wasted their time dedicating themselves to matters they really knew nothing about. Although he's usually in the background, he's heard things about himself. What were they about? He didn't know, and he could care less. This time was no different. Whatever these people were talking about was none of his business. Wonwoo preferred it this way.

The dark-haired male saw Junhui speed-walking towards him, their friend Seokmin following close behind. When the two reached him, he asked, "In a rush?"

"Not exactly," Junhui said. "But Seokmin heard something interesting during Journalism Club today." He glanced at the other male expectantly.

Wonwoo didn't like gossip, but that didn't mean his friends felt the same way. Seokmin was especially prone to over-hearing things he shouldn't.

Before Seokmin could answer, Wonwoo spoke first. "Is this anything relevant to me?"

Seokmin cleared his throat. "Mingyu plans to confess to whoever he likes"--he paused for dramatic effect--"through a kiss!"

"So that's a no," Wonwoo said, answering his own question.

"But aren't you a little bit curious as to who Mingyu might be interested in?" Seokmin said. "None of the Big Three have mentioned anything about their love lives before."

"I bet it's Nayeon," Junhui said.

"Or Yeri," Seokmin suggested.

"It could totally be a guy, though."

"Ten bucks if it's a girl."

Junhui stopped short at this. "No."

Seokmin shrugged. "It was worth a shot."

Wonwoo watched all of this with no interest whatsoever. He just wanted to leave. "Do you even know where this happening?" he asked, in hopes that they'd say no and drop the whole thing.

"Yep," Junhui told him. "He said they're locker is in this hallway."

He cursed inside. "When this is all over, can we please get going?"

"Yes," Junhui promised.

"Shh, they're coming," Seokmin said.

The second oldest looked in the direction both of his friends were looking in and sighed. Like robots, everyone else turned in the same direction. He watched as Mingyu said something to Jeonghan, who responded with a shake of his head and pushed Mingyu forward. The turquoise-haired male stopped and took a deep breath before moving again.

Mingyu made his way slowly past the many people taking up the hallway towards the trio standing in front of Wonwoo's locker. Wonwoo made eye contact with the male but looked away immediately. He'd love to say that there was no way the other would kiss him, but the slim possibility was always there no matter what he thought. But if he was Mingyu's target, and they did turn out to be soulmates, there'd be a problem.

Jeon Wonwoo does not date.

Then came the question of what he would do if Mingyu did kiss him. If he stood there, rejected one of the Big Three members, and walked away, people would talk about it. If he stood there, let Mingyu kiss him, then walk away, people would still talk about it. There was no way to avoid being the #1 topic of conversation whether Mingyu kissed him or not.

Or was there?

"Hey," he said, reaching over to peel off Seokmin's tight grip from the sleeve of his hoodie. "I gotta use the restroom real fast." And for good measure he added, "Let me know what happens when I come back."

Seokmin's grip didn't loosen. "Just wait. It'll take, like, a minute."

"But I really gotta pee," Wonwoo protested. He glanced out the corner of his eye. Mingyu was only a few feet away.

Seokmin shot him a warning look at the same time Junhui elbowed him in the side. "Shut up," they both said.

"I hate you guys," Wonwoo grumbled.

Mingyu stopped in front of them. "Dammit," Wonwoo mumbled, inaudible. There was no denying he was Mingyu's target. Both of his friends already had soulmates.

The dark-haired male caught people around them lifting up their cameras. Both his and Mingyu's friends were staring at him with disbelief on their faces. Wonwoo was just as confused.

Mingyu stepped forward to which Wonwoo took a step back. His back hit the locker. Seokmin and Junhui were on either side of him. He was basically locked into place unless one of his friends nicely let him escape.

He saw Mingyu gulp. Then in two swift strides, he closed the space between the two. Without reaching out to hold Wonwoo in any way, he gently pressed his lips against the older male's.

Wonwoo stood there in shock as it happened. Yes, he knew he was the target, but being kissed for the first time by someone he didn't even know had its effects.

When he pulled away, Wonwoo cleared his throat. He lightly pushed Mingyu away from him, and looked the other in the eye. His eyes were still gray. Thank God.

Mingyu looked away and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Sorry," he said.

Wonwoo didn't know what to say. He wasn't sure if he should punch him, sue him, or just walk away. He settled for the last option. He made a sound of acknowledgement then pushed past Mingyu.

Oh, how he'd love to dig a hole to hide inside of forever.

Wonwoo walked away, eyes on the ground, and didn't bother to look back.
