Mingyu had no intention of following Wonwoo. He knew the other male was avoiding him. He'd seen the article that morning. Whoever edited the picture needed to be fired. Hell, Mingyu needed to give whoever released the article a piece of his mind. They were ruining everything.

Mingyu knew it was his fault anyway. If he wasn't the son of one of the most richest people in South Korea, he might have a better chance with both Wonwoo and a normal life.

He waited outside of the bathroom, peeking around the corner every now and then to see if Jeonghan and Jisoo would ever finish talking. They didn't. Or at least Jeonghan didn't. It looked more like a one-person conversation than anything else.

After waiting almost ten minutes, Mingyu sent Jisoo a text telling him that they could just get together at home. He began his journey to the front door of the library when the short, orange-haired librarian stopped him.

"You're Mingyu, right?" the stranger said.

"Yeah," the turquoise-haired male answered.

"I'm Jihoon. One of Wonwoo's friends. I'm going to give you some advice."

Mingyu, confused, nodded slowly. "

"I'm telling you now," Jihoon began, "Wonwoo's can be like like a woman on her period. One minute they're happy, the next they're pissed off at the world. You get what I'm saying?"

It took a second to process Jihoon's words. He still didn't quite understand what the other was saying. "Are you saying Wonwoo is basically on his period?" Mingyu asked.

Jihoon pursed his lips, holding back a laugh. "Not exactly, no. What I'm saying is Wonwoo gets annoyed pretty easily and when he's annoyed he gets defensive. I'd wait for him to calm down a little before you talk to him."

"So wait, are you a supporter of him being with me?"

"Don't get me wrong, I will legitimately strangle you if you fuck with my best friend, but I think having someone like you in his life would be good for him." Jihoon paused thoughtfully. "You better not mention this to him, but he's really not very fond of the concept of love. It doesn't matter if you're his soulmate, Wonwoo doesn't really believe in it. I mean, you're also kind of popular, which is kind of a turn off for him, but that's not what I'm trying to say right now.

"When he's distant with you, it's not because he doesn't like you. Wonwoo might like you more than you could have ever guessed, but he's afraid of where things will go from there. If he falls for you, you better not mess up with him or change your mind last minute. Understand?"

Mingyu nodded. It makes a lot more sense. He knew a part of it was his status, but he never would have guessed that Wonwoo was sensitive when it came to falling in love. He also very clearly understood that if Mingyu screwed up in his pursuance of Wonwoo, Jihoon would probably murder him in his sleep.

"Do you think he likes me?" the younger male said.

"I know Wonwoo like the back of my hand, but I'll be honest, I've never seen him fall for anyone. I really don't know." Jihoon shrugged apologetically.

Mingyu was willing to take that as an answer. It was better than a no. "Well, thanks for the advice," he said with a smile.

"You don't seem like a bad guy. I'll try to help you in any way that I can." The other grinned back. "Good luck."

The driver dropped him off outside of the apartment complex. It looked like your average apartment building, not something you'd expect the son of a rich man to live in. There was the occasional crack in the building as Mingyu made his way up to the room Seungchol had texted him. The stairs were metal and kind of rusty. They screeched with each step Mingyu took.

It was a nice difference in his everyday life. Just like Wonwoo's place was. There's no sidewalks or walls being cleaned everyday by servants, no gardener trying to keep the lawn perfect, nobody constantly up your ass about being the perfect son. This was what Mingyu wished his life was really like.

Mingyu knocked on the door and a few seconds later Seungchol opened it. He was in a T-shirt that said Please F Off and some sweatpants. It's the first time Mingyu's seen him dressed in something other than a suit . . . or parts of a suit anyway.

"Hey," the elder said waving him inside. "My boyfriend's not here yet, but he's on his way from work."

Mingyu glanced around. He didn't look at any of the pictures, not wanting to invade any of their privacy. It was a small, cozy place. The kitchen connected  to the living room. There was a hallway that held three doors. He could see one was the bathroom, there others must be a bedroom and/or a closet.

"I like it here," he said taking a seat on the couch after Seungchol said he could.

"Yeah, me too," Seungchol said. "We didn't want a big house that would attract attention. It also gets pretty lonely real quick when there's so much space."

Mingyu completely understood and let his friend know so. "So where does your boyfriend work?"

"The library. He works there with his best friend. I'm not allowed to go there tho when he's there because of cameras and everything so I've never met his friend," Seungchol explained.

With furrowed eyebrows, Mingyu thought of his time at the library just a couple hours earlier. Is Seungchol's boyfriend Jihoon? But does Wonwoo work at the library?

"By chance, is your boyfriend-" He was interrupted when the front door opened, and in walked the same male he'd spoken to earlier followed by Wonwoo. He felt his heart pick up pace at the sight of his soulmate. They hadn't spoken since Wonwoo had called him that day.

Wonwoo went rigid when he saw him. Mingyu watched him purse his lips and take a deep breath before continuing to follow Jihoon. Seungchol stood up from the couch and greeted his soulmate with a soft kiss before turning back to their two guests. Mingyu suddenly felt extremely awkward, but he was still in a positive mood since Wonwoo hadn't turned around and walked out at the sight of him yet.

"Wait, Wonwoo?" Seungchol said.

"Oh, it's you," Wonwoo said dryly.

"Wait, you guys have already met?" Jihoon asked, confused.

"Remember that night when my parents tried to set me up with Mingyu?" Seungchol said. "Wonwoo was the one who came and picked him up from the party."

"Oh, well. This makes my life easier then," the small male said. He looked at his watched then at his boyfriend. His eyes traveled over Seungchol's outfit and he grimaced. "We still have 15 minutes before our reservation. I really hope you aren't wearing that to the restaurant."

"Nah, I was waiting for you to get here before I changed into something else," the other assured wrapping his arms around the orange-haired male's waist.

Mingyu felt envious as he watched the two. He glanced at Wonwoo who was also watching them. What was he thinking?

He turned back to the couple and made eye contact with Jihoon. "Remember what I said earlier," he mouthed to Mingyu then he winked.
