Mr. Min straightened put the various papers on his desk and cleared his throat. "I'm going to assume everyone has turned in their projects. Speak now if you haven't." When nobody said anything, he continued, "Alright, that was your last chance." The teacher moved around the desk and with his arms folded, leaned back against the front of it.
"Results will be published soon, then voting wil be opened a week later for about a month," he said. "Internships will be given put at graduation."
"Graduation? Seriously?" someone spoke out. "That's not for another couple of months." Wonwoo rolled his eyes at this. Was he surrounded by stupid people?
Mr. Min shot the student a look. "It's a summer internship. What would you do with it before then?"
The student didn't respond.
"Anyone else have any questions?" the teacher asked, his gaze traveling from student to student. Everyone shook their heads. "Okay then. Clubs can split."
As Jisoo gathered his things, he turned to Wonwoo. "Could I talk to you after class?"
Wonwoo rose an eyebrow. "Sure . . . about what?"
"I'll wait outside the classroom for you," Jisoo told him before leaving.
There were two things Wonwoo could come up with that Jisoo would want to talk about. Mingyu or Jeonghan. Him and Jisoo were acquaintances but not quite friends yet, so there wasn't anything else they would really talk about yet.
"Does anyone have any pictures we could use for the yearbook?" Mr. Min said, now walking around the classroom. The hour went on choosing and gathering photos for the yearbook that student council would put together by the end of he school year.
All the while, Wonwoo was distracted. He hadn't actually spoken to Mingyu since that night four days ago. The younger male had things to do for his father's company. Which, really, was totally fine with Wonwoo. He wasn't sure how this relationship thing worked. He was procrastinating.
Mingyu had texted a couple of times, telling him how annoying following around Chairman Kim was. Wonwoo's heart warmed everytime he saw Mingyu's name on his phone screen. Ultimately, he was nervous. Never did he think he'd ever be with someone, especially if that someone was the Kim Mingyu. Still, Wonwoo didn't regret confessing. He'd meant what he said.
Today would be the first day they meet up since then.
Mingyu missed school again but had texted Wonwoo at lunch telling him that he'd be waiting for him outside after school. Wonwoo was looking forward to it, but some part in the back of his mind worried about the unwanted gossip that would spread. People will figure out that they're intentionally hanging out together. Wonwoo just needed to accept that.
"You guys are good to go. See you next week," Mr. Min said.
Wonwoo blinked. It didn't even feel like an hour went by.
He took his time gathering his things and carefully slipping his camera over his neck. He made his way out of the classroom, and as expected, Jisoo stood there.
"Hey," he started. "I was just wondering if you'd talked to Jeonghan for me."
"I may have said something," Wonwoo said vaguely. "Is he still a pain in the ass?"
"I mean, yeah, he hasn't been bothering me as much, but I don't think I can give him what he wants," the other male admitted. "I don't think he's going to stop trying either."
"Do you have feelings for Jeonghan?" Wonwoo asked. He felt like they were close enough to ask such a question.
Jisoo scratched the back of his neck. "He's not someone I dislike," he said.
Right then, Wonwoo realized how similar he was to Jisoo. Both he and Jisoo don't want to date anyone, but can't help the feelings that certain someone seems to create. Except Wonwoo's accepting his fate, Jisoo is still deciding.
"Should I talk to him again?" Wonwoo asked.
Jisoo shook his head. "Did he say anything to you about me though?"
The younger of the two tried to remember that day at the library. He'd left so abruptly, he didn't get a response. "No, he didn't," he said.
"Thanks for talking to him," Jisoo said. "See you around."
Wonwoo gave a half-hearted wave, confused, as he watched Jisoo walk away. He turned and made his way to the school's exit.
He spotted Mingyu immediately leaning against the building to the left of the doors. Mingyu's eyes were closed and his head tilted up towards the sun. The first thing Wonwoo noticed was the hair. The taller male's hair was no longer the faded turquoise it used to be but rather black like Wonwoo's. The black was nice contrast to Mingyu tan skin. Wonwoo lifted his camera and snapped a quick photo.
As soon as he dropped the camera back down to his chest, Mingyu opened his eyes and glanced over with a grin. He stepped away from the wall, ran a hand through his hair, and said, "You like what you see?"
Wonwoo looked away, his cheeks heating. He been staring and took a photo, and Mingyu was well aware of it.
"What's with the hair?" he asked unable to meet Mingyu's eyes.
Wonwoo figured it'd creepy ic Mingyu said he wanted tp match hair colors, so he was relieved when Mingyu said," Dad thought turquoise was 'unprofessional'."
The elder nodded because this made sense. What CEO of a famous company had unnaturally colored hair?
"So why'd you want to meet up?" Wonwoo asked, glancing around. There were still a few students mulling around but nobody was paying attention to them.
"I haven't seen you since Thursday. I was hoping we could hang out for a while."
Mingyu definitely knows what he's doing, Wonwoo decided as his heart picked up pace. He has a way with words. Great.
"Anything in mind?" Mingyu asked.
"You were going to ask me out with no plan?" Wonwoo answered.
"I have ideas, but I don't think you'd appreciate them very much."
Wonwoo's face flushed. "Driving," he said. It was the first thing that came to his head, and it wasn't as provocative as the other things suddenly swarming his brain.
"Driving?" the other questioned.
"Yeah, I said I'd teach you to drive, didn't I?" Wonwoo said remembering the night of Mingyu's birthday.
The other's face brightened like he just won an award for his incapability to drive. "You remembered."
"Yeah, I did." They started walking towards his car at the far end of the parking lot. He looked over at Mingyu. "I like the hair, by the way," he said, reaching over to grab Mingyu's hand and hide it in the pocket of his hoodie.
This time, it was Mingyu's turn to blush.
