Three soft knocks sounded on the door. It was a wonder Wonwoo heard them at all.

He turned off the sink water, running his wet hands through his hair. He then used his thumb to swipe at his eye bags in slight hope that they would vanish. They didn't.

The triple knick sounded again, slightly louder this time. He sighed. After drying his hands on a towel, he went to the door.

For the past couple of days, no one's bothered him. Jihoon called and they talked on the phone about it all. Except Wonwoo left out the note. He wasn't sure what to think of it. He wasn't ready then and there was no saying that he was ready now either.

He'd gotten a few texts from Mingyu and his other friends, but aside from that, no one has actually come to see him.

Wonwoo opened the door, fully expecting Jihoon to be standing there. Instead, he was met with Mingyu's retreating back. The former wasn't one bit surprised.

Mingyu paused on the walkway at the sound of the door creaking as Wonwoo opened it wider. He turned slowly. He made no motion to walk back towards the door. Rather, he stood there watching Wonwoo.

He doesn't know what to do next, Wonwoo thought. The elder found that cute.

Really, Wonwoo wanted to be alone. Even so, he wasn't mad that Mingyu was here.

He leaned against the door frame. "Are you just going to stand there?"

Mingyu tilted his head to the side like a lost puppy. "Am I allowed to come inside?"

Wonwoo rolled his eyes. "I mean, you can just stand there if you prefer. I'm heading inside though."

In only a few long strides, Mingyu made it to the door and Woneoo let him inside. The latter shut the door and headed for the kitchen.

He was pretty sure he knew why Mingyu was at his house, but he decided to pop the question anyway. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to hang out since I haven't seen you in a bit." Mingyu took a seat in the spot next to him. "Have you been sick?" He reached up and gently ran a thumb under Wonwoo's eye.

Wonwoo pulled his hand down but kept his own hand on Mingyu's arm. That wasn't the answer he'd been expecting "No, I'm fine. My mom just wanted to spend some time together since she's had the last couple of days off work," he lied. "Today, I just didn't feel like going to school."

It was obvious Mingyu didn't believe him, but he seemed to accept the answer anyway. "I was thinking maybe we could watch a movie," Mingyu suggested.

"I don't want to go anywhere," the other said. He wasn't ready to face the new world that his father now personally existed in.

"You have a TV here, right?"

"Yeah."

"There's our solution then. We could chill here and watch a movie. That is, if you want to."

"Okay, sure. Let's watch a movie," Wonwoo agreed. The two of them made their way back to Wonwoo's bedroom.

Wonwoo was still on edge. At any moment, he knew Mingyu was going to ask what was really wrong. Right now, he'd just have to act like everything was okay.

He went in and turned on the new TV he had hanging on his wall then sat on his bed. He noticed Mingyu hesitating outside of the door. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"We're watching a movie in here?" Mingyu asked cautiously.

Wonwoo didn't understand why he was standing there like that at first. They were just going to be watching a movie. In his bedroom. Together on his small twin sized bed.

Oh.

That was the problem.

"J-just get in here. You're making things awkward," he said pursing his lips and patting the spot next to him.

His face was beginning to heat up. Mingyu probably didn't remember what had happened the night he came here because he was drunk.

Mingyu laughed. "I was just kidding." He came into the room and sat on the bed.

Wonwoo was very much aware of the proximity between them and flustered at Mingyu's joke. Maybe letting him inside was a bad idea. He should have just left him at the walkway.

"What movie?" Wonwoo asked,, using his phone to navigate through Netflix on the TV.

"I'm okay with anything," the other said, leaning back and making himself comfortable.

Wonwoo was too distracted to actually pick a movie so they ended up with some random action romcom. He tried to get comfortable, but couldn't. The bed was too small, and he only had so much space to himself. He knew Mingyu was watching him struggle.

Wonwoo had finally settled into a somewhat comfy position when Mingyu slipped an arm around his waist and pulled him towards him.

Ten minutes into the movie and Wonwoo knew there was no way in hell he would be able to focus in this kind of position.

At some point, Mingyu moved one of Wonwoo's arms into he lap and began running his fingers along the veins. If Wonwoo knew that this was going to happen when he wore a simple T-shirt, he really wasn't sure if he'd wear hoodies as much as he usually did. It sent pleasant chills up his spine and he was able to lay comfortably against Mingyu's chest.

The movie seemed to have passed in no time at all. They laid there staring at the the screen as the credits rolled. Wonwoo had no idea what the movie was even about. His heart was pounding in his ears and he could feel Mingyu's chest move in sync with his own breaths.

Mingyu linked his fingers in Wonwoo's once the credits were over. He squeezed gently. "Hey, Wonwoo?"

Wonwoo was suddenly on edge again. "Yeah?"

"I want you to know that I care for you," he started. "I don't know what's really going on with you and I won't pry, but I just want you to know that I'm here. Whether it's too talk or use as a distraction." He rested his head against Wonwoo's. "Let me know if I crossed the line. I just wanted to let you know that."

Wonwoo let out an exhale and closed his eyes. There it was. He knew it was coming. He'd been expecting ever since Mingyu stepped into his house.

He was well aware of their tangled bodies but still wasn't sure he trusted Mingyu completely. He replayed the past month in his head. His soulmate hadn't done anything that suggests dishonesty. It had been a fleeting thought earlier in the relationship, but Wonwoo didn't think that the other had any ill intention against him. Yeah, he didn't know why Mingyu liked him, but it seemed to him that he really truly did. He hadn't said one lie when it came to his feelings.

Mingyu didn't spread rumors either. That was most important. Maybe he didn't have a problem with them like Wonwoo, but he never participated in the gossip.

The list went on. Wonwoo really didn't have any reason to not trust Mingyu.

He pushed himself up and untangled himself from Mingyu. He sat crosslegged next to Mingyu, facing him so he could see his face.

"Look, this is hard for me to talk about," Wonwoo admitted.

Mingyu sat up, his focus now completely on Wonwoo. "You really don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Wonwoo shook his head. "No. I know I need to tell someone. Your the only I can even imagine telling." He reached out and laced his fingers through Mingyu's. He didn't know why, but holding hands was comforting for him.

He took a deep breath. "Okay . . ."
