Reward for Linadilime from the draw this in your style challenge. Drawing above is her work as part of the reward of having the drawing featured in one of my stories.

Max, and Leena were in the royal laboratory, waiting for Professor Higgabottom to come. He told them to meet him there, because he wanted to show them something.

The two cats walked around, waiting for the old owl. The king spotted a small yellow note, taped to a blue potion. "Hey look. There's a note" Max pointed out, making his way to the table. He picked up the note, his eyes scanned the reading. "It says, don't use this potion until I come over" he read it to her as he picked up the bottle. There was a label on it that said power of flight.

"Hmmm" Max hummed curiously, as a mishevious idea came up on his head. "Flight huh? So, this potion can make me fly?" Max asked interested. Leena, however, stared at him serious, crossing her arms.

"Max" she said his name sternly, glaring at him. "Oh come on Leena. Flying sounds fun. Don't you wanna give it a try?" He asked her excitedly. He thought that if flying in the ship was fun, then actual flying would be the same.

"The professor said to wait. We don't know what it does" she cautioned him. But Max just shrugged. "Well we're about to find out" he told her, his hand went to the cap on the bottle. Leena's eyes widen at this, and she knew she had to stop him before he unleashed trouble.

The lioness swiped the bottle from him. "Hey!" Max said surprised, turning to her. "Sorry Max. But it's for your own good" she insisted to him as she quickly turned around, and ran for it. If there was one thing Leena knew about Max is that he doesn't give up.

The lion chased after her as she tried to get to the door. But Max was faster and quickly shut the door before she could escape. He smirked at her, and the lioness quickly turned around. He chased after her through the whole laboratory.

Leena quickly climbed up a ladder, leaning on the large telescope. She pushed the ladder off so Max wouldn't follow her. "Ha!" She said confident. Her king glared at her, but an idea came up.

Leena suddenly felt the telescope shaking a bit, and she looked to see Max lifting the telescope up, and down. The movement was causing her to lose her balance. "Max! Stop! You're gonna make me fall!" She told him urgently, flailing her arms to keep her balance.

"Well, then you better give me the potion" he told her persistently, as he kept going. But then, Leena accidentally lost hold of the potion, and went flying up in the air, and SHATTER!

Max gasped when he heard the shatter, and immediately stopped shaking the telescope. The potion had shattered when it hit the roof, and blue liquid sprinkled on Leena. She covered her head with her arms in an attempt to protect her.

"Leena! Are you ok?" He asked her concern, moving to the spot where she was at from below. "Yeah. I think so" she told him, looking at herself. Somehow, the glass didn't hit her, which was a relief.

However, some of that stuff got on the telescope, and when she moved her foot, she slipped, and fell off. "Ah!" Leena yelped in alarm, and Max's eyes widen, holding his arms out to catch her. The lioness kept her eyes shut.

"Um Leena?" She heard his voice, and opened her eyes. To her confusion, found she didn't land in his arms, but neither the ground. He had on a shocked look on his face. "I think I now know what the professor's potion does" he told her, pointing to something behind her.

Leena turned around, and was shocked at what she saw. On her back was two blue feathered wings, flapping which kept her afloat.

"Whoa" she said amazed, and surprised. Both lions didn't see this one coming. But then Leena suddenly found the wings started flapping uncontrollably, and she took off.

"Whoa! Whoa!" She said alarmed, struggling to get control. Max chased after her incase she might fall again. The lioness hit the wall, and was flying all over the place. "How do I control these wings?!" She asked him as he struggling to catch up to her. "Try flapping them at the same time" he told her, getting out of breath since she moved faster.

"Easier said than done Max! I'm a lion! Not a bird" she told him annoyed as she grabbed on the telescope while her wings tried to pull her away from it.

"Well now you're a griffin. Part lion, part bird right?" He told her, grabbing her magic bow, and getting the pink string out of it.

"I told you not to touch that potion, and look what happened!" She told him angrily as she looked at the window. If her wings took her outside, it would mean more trouble.

Her grip was loosening on the telescope, and she lost hold of it as she was about to fly out the window. "Gotcha!" Max called out, and the magic rope was wrapped around her waist, stopping her from leaving.

Max pulled her close to him, sighing in relief that he caught her in time. "My goodness!" His ears perked at a familar voice, and Max groaned annoyed. That was the professor.

"What happen? Did you two touch my potion?" He asked them surprised as he approached the lion's, his eyes wide on what's happening.

"Well yes" Max told him as he pulled Leena closer. "Ow!" Leena walked his head with her new wing, glaring at him sharply. "Correction. HE touched the potion" she told the professor angrily. Max smiled sheepishly at the professor.
