Max the Son In Law

Max was walking in town in the Lion Kingdom and he spotted a shop. He stood staring at it. It was a mechanic shop called Lionel's Mechs.

Max let out a deep breath. Cause he was facing a big challenge. He was planning to propose to Leena to marry him. But first he wanted to make that her parents, mostly her dad, to be ok with it and give him their blessing.

He stepped into the workshop "hello?" Max called out as he walked around. "Max? Is that you my dear boy?" He heard Lionel's voice and it was coming from a room where stuff is getting fix.

"I want to talk to you for a moment Lionel" Max called out and Lionel's glove hand came poking out while holding a wrench. "I'll be there in a minute. You just wait there Max" he told him.

Max sat down on a chair as he waited. So many thoughts raced insane in his head.

'What if Lionel says no? What if he doesn't trust me and thinks I can't be a good husband to Leena? And if he says no, should I still propse to Leena?' He asked himself in his head anxiously. Max loved Leena. He really did.

'Leena and I have been together for so long. And her dad did support our relationship when we started dating. But still. What if he doesn't trust me? And if I propose to Leena even after he says no, there could be problems and Leena and her dad might fight about it and argh!' Max kept talking in head panic and he grabbed his head afraid.

He let out a heavy sigh with his eyes shut. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder. Max thought that must be Lionel. He looked up getting ready to do it but when he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see it wasn't Lionel.

"Kayla?" He said surprised. Leena's mom had showed up and she could see how panic Max was. She smiled at him warmly. "You look tensed. Is everything ok Maxie?" She asked him gently as she sat down on a couch with her arms crossed and one leg over the other.

"I'm just nervous. What are you doing here Kayla?" He asked her puzzled and quickly the white lioness bursted into laughter which startled Max. "Why am I here? Ha! Max you're the one who asked me to meet you here" she reminded and Max felt embarrassed.

"Oh yeah. Right" he said smiling sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his mane. Earlier, Max had told Kayla to meet him at the workshop.

"Ok I'm all done" Lionel called out and the two cats looked over and saw him coming out of the room. "Kayla? What are you doing here?" He asked puzzled to see her as he sat next to her.

"Max wants to tell us both something" she tols him casually and motioned to Max. Max froze as they both stared at him. "Alright it. So what is you want to tell us Max?" He asked the younger lion.

"Well um..." Max said nervous, his eyes looking away for a moment. He was so afraid. But then he remembered that he faced all kinds of challenges and made it through it all.

'If I can make it through challenges from the past, I can make it through this one' he said in his head and he nodded in determination.

He looked at Kayla and Lionel "I want to ask you if I can have your blessing. I want to propose to Leena to marry her" he finally told them.

"Gasp!" Both Lionel and Kayla gasped wide eye and jaw dropping and Max closed his eyes waiting to hear Lionel say no or something.

"That's amazing Max! Ha ha!" Lionel answered happy and excited. Max's eyes popped back open surprised at the unexpected reaction.

"Wait really?" He asked surprised as Max stood up stunned. "Yes" Lionel said nodding. "I thought you were gonna say no. Leena's your daughter and well..." Max stammered puzzled and confused.

"And you thought I was gonna say no" Lionel finished for him smirking and Max smiled awkardly.

Lionel walked up to Max and motioning hin to bend done, the older lion placed a hand on his shoulder. "Max I already know from moment you saved the Lion Kingdom, I knew you were the knew for my daughter. You have always been there for my daughter"

Lionel explained and Max stared at him wide eye. "So I would be more than happy to have you as my son in law" he told Max, patting his hand and Max smiled warmly at the mechanic.

"Right Kayla? Kayla?" Lionel asked but there was no answer and before he could turn around.

"AAAAAHAHA!" Kayla squealed excited and it startled the two boys. She jumped up excited "Finally! Of course you have our blessing Maxie!" She told him excitef and she bear hugged Max so strong that Max winced.

"Glad to hear that" Max croaked out, wincing from the tight hug smiling awkwardly and Lionel chuckled at this. On the bright side, Max was happy now he could move on to the next step...proposing to Leena.
