It's Chinese new year and Max and his friends celebrate with their friends from Kombatei

"Zinti come here!" Max said laughing as he chased after the little arctic fox who was running with a chinese lantern flying in her hand. Max and his friends were celebrating with their friends from Kombatei with Fahn, Kaow Tom and Yuki.

Fahn was hanging up red streamers and Kaow Tom passed him the lanterns to hang. Zinti and Max passes the two and the monkey and bear laughed at the cute little chasing. "Gotcha!" Max finally caught Zinti and threw her up in the air, she laughed in excitement while in the air and Max caught her again in his arms.

"You may have caught me but I'm not giving up the lantern" Zinti said as she hugged the lantern close to her. "Why now Zinti?" The two looked at Leena when she asked. Leena wore her outfit from their Kombatei adventure. She smiled at the two and had her hand on her waist.

"Because I want to have a lantern in my room" Zinti told her as Max looked at Leena smiling. Max was wearing his outfit from their Kombatei adventure too.

Leena walkes up rubbing the fox pup's furry head. "You know Zinti some of the kids are making their own lanterns. Don't what to make your own lantern? Make it look different from the other ones?" Leena asked her and Zinti looked at her lantern thinking.

Leena looked at Max smiling like she was saying this is gonna work. Zinti looked back at the lioness "Promise me that I'm gonna have a lantern?" Zinti told her a little scared as she still hugged the lantern. Leena chuckled at the fox "I promise. But only if you give this one back"

Leena told her pointing at the lantern. Zinti finally gave Leena the lantern and Max put her down. "Come on. I'll help you" Leena told her as she held her hand. "And after the lanterns, we'll do the dragon dance and throw lanterns in the sky"

Leena told hed and Zinti jumped up excited. Max chuckled at the two girls. He liked how Leena knew how to handle kids. He wondered if that was an instinct in all girls.

Everyone finished decorating and the party looked amazing. Spike was cooking the food. Max climbed up a tree to get some mangos down while Kaow Tom and Tazer held some baskets to catch the mangos. Max dropped a mango to Tazer's basket but then Fahn jumped out and caught the mango. "Fahn!" Tazer said annoyed as he put the basket down and chased after the monkey. Max and Kaow Tom laughed.

Meanwhile, Leena was finishing the lantern with Zinti. It was a bright blue lantern with Zinti and Tazer's face painted on it and with white snowflakes too. Zinti clapped and laughed excited to see her lantern all done. Leena smiled at the fox but her ears perked up when she felt something silky and soft.

She looked down to see her hand resting on a ribbon. Leena got an idea. She grabbed the ribbon with Zinti watching her curious. Leena started to spin around with the ribbon, waving her arms around and dancing with it. Zinti grabbed a ribbon of her own and joined the lioness who started to laugh in the fun.

Max got off the tree and his ears twitched at Leena's laughter. He looked and spotted the dancing lioness. Max stared at her amazed and he watched her dance. She looked so graceful and loose. Leena finished the dancing and made a small bow with Zinti.

Max clapped at the two. Leena was surprised that Max was watching, she smiled shyly at him and blushed pink. "Hey everyone!" Time for lunch!" Spike called out with the table covered in delicious food.

Everyone gathered at the table, their eyes shone in wonder at how beautiful the dinner looked. Max and Leena smiled big at the food, their stomachs rumbling. Everyone ate from the food, there were spring rolls, mooncakes and soup. It all look so good.

While everyone ate lunch, Max noticed the dragon head costume. He looked at Leena and had a sneaky idea. He left the table and tiptoed over there.

Leena was about to eat a spring roll but a tap on her shoulder caught her attention and she looked a confused "huh?". She looked at her chopsticks and was surprised to see the spring roll gone. She looked up and saw a dragon in front of her.

"Aaah!" Leena screamed surprised and poked her chopsticks on the dragon's eyes. "Ow!" The dragon said and the voice was familiar. "Max?!" Leena said surprised as Max took the head ofd, rubbing his eyes. Leena glared at him annoyed as everyone laughed.

Once lunch was finished, everyone was on the ground eating mangos and ready to throw their lanterns in the sky. Max sat next to Leena with two mangos. He handed her one. Leena turned away, still angry at him for that dragon trick. "Come on Leena I was just joking" he tried to convince but she wouldn't let go.

Max grabbed her hand, opening her palm and placing the mango. She looked at him and Max smiled. Leena tried to stay angry at him but she slowly melted and smiled back at him. It was time to light the lanterns and everyone got ready to unleash them.

The lanterns floated up in the sky glowing. Max and Leena let their lanterns float together, their eyes sparkled like they were still kids. Everyone watched in wonder and excitement. The fireworks started. Leena rested her head on Max's shoulder with Max resting his head on Leena, enjoying the firework show.
