Jungle Bloom

Everyone was camping at the jungle where Max grew up. It was early in the morning so everyone was still asleep...except for Max.

Max was sitting outside, looking up at the sky. It was turning purple but the sun wasn't up yet. "Just a little longer" Max said smiling as he stood up. He knew that something amazing was coming...and he wanted to share that with someone.

He went into a blue tent and inside was a sleeping Leena. Smiling, he knelt down and gently rubbed her shoulder "Leena. Leeena" he whispered to her and the lioness started to move a bit. She opened her eyes tiredly and turned her head to face him.

"Max?" She asked tired. Her eyes moved from Max to the tent open and she could see the sky. "It too early Max. Go back to sleep" she groaned and pulled her blanket over her.

"Come on Leena. Wake up" he urged her excited like a little kid "nah uh" she said under the blanket. But Max wasn't giving up.

"Ok ok. I guess sleeping in is more important to you than checking at a once in a lifetime moment" he told her in a teasing voice as he turned around and was about to walk out of the tent.

"Hold up" Leena called out and Max stopped in his tracks, smirking. "What is it?" She asked hin suspicious. "It's better if you see it" he told her and she thought for a moment...

"You woke me up 7 pm in the morning for a walk?" Leena asked irritated as she followed Max. Leena actually said yes and now the two lions were on there way to this big huge tree.

"No Leena. I woke you up to see something amazing" Max explained to her excited. "Ok what is this something amazing?" Leena asked annoyed, wishing she had gone back to sleep.

Max sat down, leaning his back on the tree. "Stargazing? Are you serious?" She asked placing a hand on her hip. Max shook his head, smiling at her and he patted a spot for her to sit down.

Sighing, the irritated lioness sat down next to him. Leena wasn't sure what Max was waiting for. "I don't know if you know this Max but there are no stars early in the morning" she told him annoyed but Max just smiled at her.

"It's not the stars Leena" Max calmly told her while still smiling. Leena looked at him confused and puzzled. "And now its time" he said excited as his eyes went from the sky to what was behind Leena.

"Time for what?" She asked annoyed, wishing she had stayed in bed. Max motioned his eyes to behind her and Leena looked and saw some plants.

"Plants?" She asked puzzled. "Just wait" Max told her as they both stared at the plants. Then something amazing happen.

Leena squinted her eyes and they slowly widen in amazement. Those plants were flowers. And slowly, Leena saw they were blooming.

The pink flower opened up its beautiful petals and Leena could actually see the pollen coming out of the flowers like it was some kinda yellow sparkle.

Leena was in awe and Max smiled at her. "Keep watching" he told her as he gently moved her face to another direction.

Leena saw the bushes sprouting fresh and green with beautiful flowers in different colors blooming. Some of the trees were growing vines and even some fruits liked mangoes and papayas. Leena felt like a little cub again as she watched in excitement and amazement.

But Max saved the best for last. He stood up and held his hand out for Leena. Leena looked at him puzzled. He smiled at her warmly "look up" he told her, his eyes motion up.

Leena put her hand in Max's hand while at the same time she looked up and her eyes got big in astonishment.

Max pulled her up to her feet and he looked up with her. The tree they were sitting on had bloomed fresh and bright green leaves.

Now that the morning sun had rosed up completely and the sky was a bright blue, it the jungle bloom looked more beautiful than Leena thought it did before.
Leena smiled amazed as she spun around, marveling at the amazing spring blooming in the jungle, laughing happy.

"Wow" she said amazed, her eyes sparkling in curiosity and wonder. "Beautiful isn't it? I watched this all the time as a cub and it still amazes me" Max explained as he petted the big tree while watching Leena.

"It's amazing!" Leena said excited and she ran to Max and start pulling his arm. "Come on!" She urged him excited like a kid going to a carnival "Hey hold on. Where we going?" He asked laughing at her sudden change of behavior. 'Wow she's acting a like a little kid' he said in his head.

"Come on we have to showed this to the others! Come on!" She told him excited as she pulled his arm back to camp to show their friends the jungle bloom.
