The Seven Medallions

Episode 13

Pipers POV
Amy was the one who decided to guard the Water Medallion.
We all sat around the main controls of the Blue Typhoon while Tails made the last preparations for our take off.

"I love the sea!" Amy chirped, showing off her bracelet she made from the seashells taken from Seagull Beach. "So I will take care of the Medallion of the Sea!" She hopped over to Sonic. "Remember the bracelet I made you on Chris' planet? It looked a lot like this ooonnnee..." Amy dangled the bracelet in front of his face and he gulped.
"Got to run!" Sonic jumped up and sped out of the Blue Typhoon just as Amy puckered up for a kiss.

"Well, there goes that mate," Marine said, hopping over to me. "So what now? We have your medallion. What adventure lies ahead for us now?" She stared up at me with hopeful eyes.
"Us?" Shadow walked over to Marine. "It is no longer us, Marine. We are leaving." He snickered under his breath. "With or without Sonic."

"What? YOU ARE LEAVIN ME NOW?" Marine wailed, hugging me tight. "I can't believe you blokes would just up and leave!"
"We have to," Knuckles spoke up, returning from the engine room. He had been in there all day with the Master Emerald. "Eggman is probably hot on our trail by now. We lost valuable time with this crash."
He looked at Tails. "The Emerald is secure and ready to rumble."

"Great!" Tails pressed a button on the controls and grinned. "I'm finished here too."
I stood up and walked over to Blaze. She seemed awful quiet during our stay here. She hardly talked to us, just thought silently.
"Blaze?" I sat down on a box of supplies next to her. "Are you ok?"
She looked up at me with a serious expression.
"Piper," she said, staring into my dark blue eyes, now turning grey. "Can I ask you a question?"
"S-sure." I shifted worriedly. "What's wrong Blaze?"

"Have you ever had.. nightmares? Where you are in a white abyss?"

I stared at her. How could she possibly know about the dreams?

They have been reoccurring. Every night it's the same. I'm in a white world where the sun cannot compare. And the soothing voice speaks to me. And then the vortex.
I always wake myself up before I get pulled in.
I don't want to find out what happens next.
The dreams scared me. I didn't know why I had them in the first place, much less why I had them every night.

Blaze's piercing stare broke my thoughts. I took a deep breath and broke down.

"Why? Why do they keep happening? It scares me, Blaze. What is going on and why-"
"Shhh." She put her hand over my mouth, signaling for me to be silent. "Someone from the past is trying to contact you. That's all I know."
"What?" I asked. "What do you mean-"

"Piper!" Tails called me over. "We need to take off! You ready?"
I looked at Blaze with a confused look. "How-"
"Don't ask me how I know." She started walking out of the Blue Typhoon. "Be careful, Piper. I can sense great danger emanating from your mind. Your dreams are there to warn you. Take heed."
Suddenly Sonic zoomed in with a childish air. Shadow groaned as the blue hedgehog snickered and took a spot by Tails. "You ready to take us out buddy?"
"You bet!"

I felt the ships engine hum as Tails turned on his new warp mechanism that allowed us to go through the Space time continuum without ripping it.
The raccoon and cat and gone out of the ship and stood among a croon of seagulls.
"BYE!" Marine called out from the beach. "COME BACK HERE SOON, YA HEAR?"
I could feel my weight shifting as I locked gazes with Blaze.
"Be warned, Piper, and be careful. You are destined for something great, but greatness comes with a price."
And with that, we warped.
And I was left with confusion, dissatisfaction, and unanswered questions.

Who from the past would want to contact me?
And why? 🌟
