The Seven Medallions

Episode Nine

Piper's POV

Blaze sat in her chair, contemplating what we all had told her. We explained all that happened these past few weeks- Clair's kidnapping, the Seven Elemental Medallions and their powers, Shadow and his information, the Babylon Rouges, and the crash that stranded us here in the Sol Dimension. She was taken aback, but seemed to be thinking about something.
"These seven amulets," she said to Sonic. "what exactly do they look like?"
"Clair?" Sonic said to the bear. Nodding, she took the Ice Medallion off of her neck and showed Blaze it's intricate design and structure. The sunlight caught the ice crystal and produced rainbows that danced across the library. Marine gasped.
"I-I've seen something like this before," she said, stroking her fur. Suddenly it hit her.

She jumped from her chair and ran to a bookshelf near the back of the room. She scanned the individual books, seeking out a particular story she had read thousands of times, not paying any attention to what was inside the pages.
Marine tore a book covered in red binding from the shelf and yelled out in glee.
"Marine!" Blaze ran over. "What is it?"
"See for yourself, mate!" She threw the book to me, and I bought it with ease. I read the title out loud.

"Treasures for the Young Adventurer," I flipped through the pages. "It's a book full of treasure maps!"
"That book was handed down to me through my family," Blaze said. "It was a royal treasure. Why does that have anything to do with the amulets, Marine?"
"Well I dono about you blokes," she said while she took the book from my grip and flipped through the pages. "but this looks like an amulet to me." She pointed at a treasure map she flipped to.

The map help a picture of an amulet, a blue one. It had a single drop of water on its body and it shined like dew on a spring day.
"The water amulet," Sonic whispered.
"It's on an island not too far from here," Marine said.
"So your royal family had the whereabouts to the water medallion," Tails said to the purple cat. "Blaze, can we go and take it?"

Blaze stared at the map's picture. Her family had handed this treasure down for generations, yet she never knew of its existence. She looked up at Tails and sighed.
"If we can find it," Blaze responded, "then you can have it."

We split up into teams. Blaze, Sonic, Marine, Clair, Shadow and I would be going out to search for the Water Medallion while Amy, Knuckles, and Tails would stay behind to fix the ship. Blaze had given them all of the requirements to rebuild the broken parts of the Blue Typhoon. To be honest, I would have rather stayed behind to help Tails and the others, but my super jump would be most useful out on the island. There would be major areas of jungle which would be hard to get through, plus, I could jump up to try and see a glow emanating from the medallion. My jump would help us find the water amulet faster than without.

"Let's go mates!" Marine said roaring the engine of her one-of-a-kind boat. Sonic and Blaze and Clair and Shadow hopped on, and I looked ahead at the island. My head started spinning.
"Hey," Clair said. "You'll be fine."
I smiled and jumped on with my team.
"Let's go guys!" Sonic said.
The engines revved.
We were off to find the Water medallion.
