Pipers POV
Countdown- two days."Piper..." A voice called out in the distance as I was engulfed in bright, brilliant light. "Piper, can you hear me?"
"Who's there?" I asked the voice. I could see nothing. Everything was white. The vastness of the color was truly blinding to my eyes. "Where am I?"
"It is not a matter of where you are, but when." The voice called out to me. Suddenly I felt myself being drawn into a vortex. It was harder to breathe. I screamed out.
Wake up! Wake up Piper!
Why can't I wake up?!
I always could wake up before the vortex pulled me in.
Why couldn't I now??!
The vortex won the battle and I shrieked in fear as it pulled me down into the black abyss."Ah!!"
My eyes shot open as they stared into the blue sky. My head pounded, and my breath was staggered. I clutched my chest, trying to recover from the pressure. My chest felt as if it had been crushed my a huge weight.
I looked around, sitting up. I was in a field of grass, greener than the usual shade. They sky was pure blue, with no clouds. The field looked as if it was never-ending.
"Hello?" I called out, confused. Where was I? "Is anyone there?"
I squinted my eyes, trying to find someone, anyone to call out to.
But I was alone.
Am I still dreaming? I thought to myself.
Blaze said someone from the past was trying to contact me. What do they want? And why here?
Suddenly a huge light filled the sky. It was bright white, similar to the work I was in during the beginning of my dream.
I shielded my eyes, trying to escape the blinding white.
"Phoebe."
I gasped, remembering my real name.
"Where am I?!" I called out aimlessly.
"You mean, when are you." The light shifted suddenly and then took a form.
The brilliant white turned into a girl.
The girl, an echidna, was red like Knuckles, but had a slim physique. She had a gorgeous blue and gold-colored dress and a matching headpiece on. She moved with elegance and grace.
She moved closer to me and smiled warmly.
"Hello, Pheobe. My name is Tikal."
I gasped."You-you were the princess of the echidnas.."
She giggled. "Something like that. But to correct you, I still am currently."
I squinted.
"But weren't you killed with the rest of the echidnas?"
"That doesn't happen for another three days, Phoebe."
I clasped my mouth, realizing what I had said.
"Don't worry," she assured me. "You didn't spoil anything for me. I know that our destruction will fall soon."
"Then why are you still dead?" I asked, scratching my head. "If you knew you were going to be killed, why didn't you stop it?"
She giggled. "I cannot interfere with what time has already chosen."I blinked. "Why are you contacting me? What on Möbius do I have to do with you?" I made a face. "No offense, of course."
Tikal giggled again. "None taken. I'm sure my dreams have scared you." She scolded me. "I didn't think it would take this long to contact you. You have a talent for waking up."
I gulped. "I'm sorry."
She crossed her arms. "I have information that could aid you with you future battle with Enerjak."
I gasped. How on möbius did she know about that?
Reading my thoughts, she smiled. "The prophesies have foretold the great battle."
I blinked, head spinning. "Well what do I need to know? How will it end? Will we win?"
Her head lowered. "I can only tell you this: Enerjak can be released with only six medallions because of the power each one has. But without the seventh, he can be returned to his ancient cell. Therefore, you must use the one he does not have -the Light Medallion- to jail him once more."My head pounded. "The Light Medallion? But it was destroyed with you and your people!"
She took my hands. "That's why I am giving it to you now, before we are destroyed. You must protect it with your life, Phoebe. No one can have it but you. I am giving it to you because I trust you will do anything within your power to stop Enerjak. And because you will, Enerjak will do anything in HIS power to destroy the medallion and you."
I shivered. That's why he is after me.Suddenly pain shot from every nerve in my body. I fell to the ground, wincing in pain.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING?" I yelled, trying to fight the pain.
Tikal looked around. The world around us started to deteriorate. The ground shook and crumbled and the sky went black.
"You are regaining consciousness, Phoebe."
"WHY DOES IT HURT SO BAD??"
She took my face in her hands. They were cold.
"Phoebe, you must pay attention. Eggman has the medallions because of your dark friend. You must try to get them back before he puts them all on his neck and releases Enerjak.""AND WHAT IF I CANT?" I screamed, tears forming.
"Then you will make the right choice on what to do."
"WHAT CHOICE?!?"
"Goodbye, Phoebe, and good luck."
Tikal herself started to deteriorate. Her face crumbled and her crown turned to dust as her eyes went from blue to grey.
"Save your friends. Save us all. Enerjak must be stopped!"
She disappeared, and the world around me started to fall. I screamed in pain as I drifted awake. 🌟Authors note- ..... OHHH ok so Tikal was the guardian of the Light Medallion.
Ok tht makes sense.
