The Seven Medallions

Episode 15

THE TRIBE, PART ONE
Piper was tied up and hung there over a boiling volcano underground. She screamed out for help, her eyes turning a fearful shade of grey. She struggled amid the flames, trying to escape.
And there was nothing I could do about it.
I was tied up as well.
I sat in a cage, bound in ropes as I called out to Piper. She looked so scared, and I was for her.
Suddenly, my people cut her ropes, and she went tumbling toward the lava.

Oh, I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Link. I am a part of the Earth Coyote Tribe. We were a great people once, with territory all over our planet, Edenia. We flourished under the reign of our chief, Chief Ravenpaw. Unfortunately, he was killed in battle for our treasure.
All peoples of all nations wanted our treasure, for the value was great, and it's beauty charming. And when he was killed fighting to protect it, a new leader emerged; my father, Exodus.

Even though he was my father, I hated him. He was an unjust and unwise chief, and led our great people into poverty. We collapsed, yet continued on. We still had our treasure.
Then, strangers came forth from space and my father felt threatened. That's when I met Piper.

(Flashback to earlier events)
Pipers POV
"There it is! Edenia!" Tails pointed to a planet on our radar. "There is a reading coming from it. I believe it is another medallion!"
"Great!" I said, sliding into a chair next to Tails.
Stress levels were higher than ever now that we possibly knew that Enerjak might be unleashed, and the finding of a new medallion would put everyone at ease for once. Shadow still didn't know about Enerjak, and I knew I should keep it that way. Another find would keep my mind off him and my dreams.

They had been getting worse. It was harder and harder to wake up before being pulled into the vortex. The voice kept getting louder and louder each time. It scared me.

"Everything's ready for landing!" Sonic said, bursting into the room. "Knux said the Master Emerald is stable enough."
"The provisions are secure!" Amy and Clair came in next, holding a cake.
They cut everyone a piece, and we are as Tails navigated the planet to land.

The Blue Typhoon touched Edenia and landed safely on its land. The door came open and we walked out onto the fresh soil.
Edenia was mostly mountains and forests. There wasn't much life anywhere, and very little at that.
"Well this hunt will be fun," Shadow grumbled. "A whole planet to search with tons of mountain regions."
"Well it can't get much worse," I said.
But it did. We didn't know that at the time.

Out of the forest came a young coyote carrying a spear. He looked at us with wide eyes and jumped about, trying to see us clearer. Then he spotted me.
He came close to me, sniffing my hair and pulling my ears. Sonic was about to intervene when Tails stopped him.
"Wait Sonic."
The coyote then gasped and threw up his spear in triumph and exclaimed loudly,
"Princess Philimenia has returned! She has come back to us!" 🌟

Authors note: I'm sry that this is so short.. This is just part one so it will make much more sense in the next chapter.
QOTD- who in the heck is princess Philimenia? And why do they think it's piper? What will happen next?
