Authors note-
This is the final chapter.
I'm not sure if I will ever get to writing another Piper Pink book, so this is probably the last book in the series.
Thank you all who supported me through this book. You are all wonderful!!
Hugs and kisses.

Sonics POV
It's been about a week since Piper and I sealed Enerjak away. Things have slowly been getting back to normal.
Because Piper is now the Guardian of the Light Medallion, she sealed away the other medallions away from each other. They would never be unearthed again.
Piper obviously kept hers on her and now can use its power at will. It is quite handy in tough situations. Her arm was totally headed by her powers as well.
Clair was allowed to keep her medallion out as well. She also took in the magic that was stolen from her by Eggman, regaining her full potential.
Shadow is sticking around for a while. After he helped us defeat Enerjak's robots, trust was restored. He always says that he is leaving, but never does. I think he is too keen on Clair.
Amy was her normal self, always bubbly and cheerful (besides when she gets annoyed). Knuckles never changed. He went back to Angel Island to take care of the Master Emerald.
Tails has graduated from his quieter self and is more outspoken about how he feels. (A huge improvement regarding Piper, in my opinion.)
The two of them have become quite the couple. Super adorable.
Me? Well I've never changed.

"Sonic!" Amy ran into Tails shop. "Shadow is coming!"
My ears perked and I smiled. "Okay, everyone. Places!"
I grabbed the box of supplies and his behind the Tornado as my friends scattered.
Piper switched off the lights and everyone went silent.
After a couple of moments, the door creaked open.
"Hey, what's with the lights?" A deep voice growled and switched them back on.
Everyone jumped up in an instant.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHADOW!!" We all shouted as loud as we could. Shadow's quills perked up in surprise.
"What on Möbius?" He questioned. "I wasn't even born, you mortals."
"Yes, we know." Piper grinned. "But Egghead was so kind as to give us the date you were created."
"Turns out, that day was today..." Clair whispered.
"Yeah! It was Clair's idea!" Tails said.
Shadow looked around. The walls were covered in streamers and balloons. There were party poppers everywhere, and an ice cream cake was in the center of the room. He growled softly.
"I'll take that as a thank you!" I cheered. "Tails, start the music! Let's get this party started!"
Tails jumped up and turned on the stereo, playing music. Everyone ran over to the cake, leaving Clair and Shadow by the door.
"This.. Was your idea?" Shadow said to Clair.
She blushed and stammered. "Well- I mean- um...Y-yes."
Shadow looked around and smiled. "Thank you.." He looked away.
Clair suddenly squeezed her eyes shut and tried to give Shadow a peck on the cheek. Suddenly, he turned around.
Their lips met.
Clair melted with embarrassment. "I-IM SO SORRY..." She quickly ran off to the cake.
Shadow smiled.

Pipers POV
I cut into the cake, smiling at my friends. The music was loud and everyone was having a great time. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Oh, hey Sonic!" I said to the blue hedgehog behind me. "Want some cake?"
"Actually," he responded quietly, "do you mind if we had a quick chat?"
Suspicion filled me. "Sure.."
I followed Sonic into the back room, away from the party. I shut the door behind me as he turned to face me.
"Sooo... " I said slowly. "What's up?"
He frowned softly and reached over to my hand and opened it. I felt him place a small, rectangular object on my palm and close my hand. He then looked at the ground, silent.
Curiosity filled me as I slowly opened up my own hand and stared in silence as the object inside.
I was dumbfounded.
Why would he give this to me?
I looked up at him, brow crossed.
"Finders keepers, kid." Sonic smiled sadly at me. "I know how much you want to find them. I just wanted to wait and see if I could trust you with this."
I frowned. "Trust me?"
He sighed. "I need you to not only save them, but everyone else too.  And now, with your powers, I know you can. I trust you to do the right thing, kiddo."
"You want me to take this on?" I said shakily. "You trust me enough?"
Sonic nodded. "I know the situation is personal, but I trust you."
A weight was suddenly lifted from my shoulders. Finally. After all this time.
"What will I say?" I said slowly. "Won't the others want to help?"
Sonic shook his head. "I know this may be hard, but you have to leave in silence."
What??
"It's the only way. This mission is too dangerous for ..." He struggled for the right words. "..us.  But with your powers, I know you can do it."
I swallowed. "Is that why you never started the mission until now?"
He was quiet.
My body shook. What was I supposed to do? Leave without word or trace? Then again, the situation was dire. And them....
I stared at Sonic. Smiling, I wrapped him into a hug.
"Thank you... For trusting me."
After a few moments, Sonic hugged back tightly.
"You know you are like a little sister to me. Please, be careful. Although, I know this means so much to you."
"It does." I wiped a tear away and pulled from Sonic.
"When do I leave?"
Sonic stared softly and sadly at me. I felt my eyes go dark blue.
"I see..."
I hugged him again. "Tell everyone that I'm sorry, but I had to go. And tell Tails..."
"...Yeah, I know."
I pulled away and grabbed my bag. Slowly, I filled it with my gear and clothes. Lastly, I placed my medallion on top and closed the bag.
"Well."
Sonic smiled. "Well."
I saluted jokingly towards him. "Thanks, Sonic. For everything. For the laughs, the teamwork, and for saving me... Countless times."
He chuckled and saluted back, mockingly. "And thank you, Piper, for changing me."
I slowly backed out of the room and threaded down the hallway. My ears filled once more with party music as I stepped into the workshop.
I tried to get away quickly without anyone noticing me. Just as I reached for the doorknob, I heard my name.
"Piper!"
My eyes darted to a yellow fox in a party hat running to me. His face fell when his eyes say my bag.
"Where- where are you going?"
My eyes teared up and I quickly wiped them away.
"I- um.. Well I just heard that my old pal is sick, so I'm going away for a bit to take care of him..."
"Oh.. Well, when will you be back?"
"I-... I'm not sure, Tails."
"Oh."
He looked away sadly but then smiled at me. "Well, tell your friend to get well soon, and I'll see you when you get back!"
I smiled sadly. If I even do come back..
I hugged him hard. "Bye, Tails. I'll never forget you."
He chuckled. "Well, hopefully not. Illness didn't last too long-"
I suddenly broke away and quickly opened the door and ran. Tails stood shocked in the doorway, watching me jump away.
As I jumped further away, the tears came. Tears of sadness, and joy.
I stared longingly at the computer chip resting in my hand.
I was no longer selfish with this chip.
Sonic trusted me to save everyone, and that's what I planned on doing, now that I had the Light Medallion.

I'll see you soon, mom and dad.
I'm freeing you. I'm freeing all those robotisized. Everyone.
