The Seven Medallions

Episode Three

Pipers POV

Why wouldn't Shadow tell me about the bracelet? I thought as I ran to the air ships main deck. It's not like he has to hide anything! We are all a team now, after all. I rushed down the hallway, entering the main area. I wonder if that bracelet has anything to do with his sudden interest in the seven medallions? Those and many more thoughts flew through my head as I was surrounded by Tails, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Clair.

Tails was typing away at the main controls for the ship, getting ready to take off. "Everything is ready to go," Tails said. "Is everyone ready?"
"Yes!" Clair said, grasping her medal around her neck.
"Sure!" Knuckles said, pumping his fist.
"I'm ready!" Amy giggled.
"Yeah!" Sonic gleamed. "Lets do this!"
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be!" I smiled, my doubts of Shadow taking residence for now in the back of my mind.
"Then let's take off!" Tails said.

"I'm going to head over to the master emerald," Knuckles said, walking away.
"Master emerald?" I asked, confused.
"I brought it aboard to power the ship," Knuckles replied. "It is super powerful, strong enough to destroy a planet."
"I gotta see this!" I yelled. I ran off after Knuckles, excited to see the power source of the blue typhoon. Sonic snickered at my child-like personality, but I just laughed it off. It wasn't like he was any better..

"WOW! It's so beautiful!" I awed, rubbing my hand over the green gem. We were in the ships engine room, where the emerald was kept and attached to the motor.
"It sure is," Knuckles replied, standing over me. "I'm the guardian of it. I protect it day and night. Whenever I go with Sonic across the galaxy," he smirked, "which oddly enough is quite often," he motioned to the green emerald, "this baby comes with me. Tails had the idea to use its power to power up the ship we use. Its quite handy in tough situations."
I looked at the emerald.
"So it is like the mother of the 7 chaos emeralds, then?"
"I guess you can call it that," Knuckles laughed.
Sonic's voice came over the loud speaker. "Ok Knuckles, time to do your thing!"
Knuckles nodded and raised his hands up into the air. "You might want to step back," Knuckles warned me. I nodded and took shelter behind a big pipe in the room.

Knuckles started to chant as the emerald glowed.
"THE SERVERS ARE THE SEVEN CHAOS.
CHAOS IS POWER, POWER ENRICHED BY THE HEART.
THE HEART IS THE CONTROLLER.
THE CONTROLLER SERVES TO UNIFY THE CHAOS."
He continued to chant over and over, making the emerald glow brighter and brighter. The engines started to start up, and the motor revved.

I watched in amazement as the master emerald powered up the blue typhoon.

I could feel the ship start to lift off the ground and start to pick up speed as it flew up. My feet started to wobble as I lost my balance, but Knuckles didn't move. He stayed perfectly still as he somehow communicated with the emerald that lay in front of him. It was one of the most intriguing things I had ever seen.

Suddenly Amy came into the room.
"Nice job, guys! We have lift off!"
I smiled as Knuckles stopped chanting and looked over at me.
"Pretty cool, huh?"
I grinned.
"Yeah, that was pretty amazing." 🌟
