Pipers POV
Two weeks later, we landed on Mobius, our home.
Tension was growing. Amy was upset at Clair, Clair was upset at Shadow, and Shadow was a complete jerk. He ignored and was angry at everyone since the incident with Clair. Shadow was more drawn away than usual and his away, chatting with his "friend" on his communicator bracelet.
How could I trust him when he kept to himself and acted so crude and suspicious?

My dreams were getting stronger. Each time grew harder to wake up before the vortex pulled me in. I was frightened. What if I would never wake up once I got pulled in? What if I got stuck in that dream world forever?
Blazes warning from when we were in her dimension still hung in my head.

"Someone from the past is trying to contact you. That's all I know."
"What?" I asked. "What do you mean-"
I looked at Blaze with a confused look. "How-"
"Don't ask me how I know." She started walking out of the Blue Typhoon.
"Be careful, Piper. I can sense great danger emanating from your mind. Your dreams are there to warn you. Take heed."

"Be warned, Piper, and be careful. You are destined for something great, but greatness comes with a price."

I shook myself out of my thoughts and looked around me. We were back home, and in Tails' workshop. Amy and Sonic were drawn to a corner, discussing a plan for a search, Knuckles was polishing his Emerald after a long period of traveling, and Clair was in her room resting from her outburst and probably feeling awful.
I felt bad for her. She didn't do anything to deserve the treatment she got from Shadow.

And only God knew where he was right now.

Tails and I were sitting by his computer, with him tracking away and I contemplating these past few months.
My eyes were pure green as I thought silently again.

"Be warned, Piper, and be careful. You are destined for something great, but greatness comes with a price."

"Piper? You ok?" Tails looked at me concerned with his light blue eyes. I looked up at him.
"Yeah, I'm alright."
Tails looked as if he didn't believe me. He shook his head, dissatisfied, and turned back to his tracking device.
We were getting close to our final Elemental Medallion. Only the Air, Dark, and Light remained.
"YES!" Tails jumped up in glee.
"You found it?" I said, eyes turning a hopeful shade of teal.
"Yes! I found it! I did it!"
Tails hugged me tightly. I blushed.
Tails suddenly realized what he was doing and let go. His face was crimson. He cleared his throat.
"It looks like it is on the Mobius Mountains," he said, zooming in on the mountain range and the glowing red dot on them. "It is somewhere in this 5 mile radius." Tails pointed to the red dot.
"Great job Tails!" Sonic said, zooming next to me. "Now let's go and get it!"
Tails laughed nervously. "Easier said than done, Sonic. The mountain ranges are tall and full of snow. It will take weeks to climb one, even with your speed and the proper climbing equipment. Plus we can't fly either. The snow storms are too dangerous for our ship to soar, much less a flying fox."
Sonic groaned and collapsed on a couch. "Now what?! We don't have that sort of time! Eggman is probably hot on our trail by now!"

"He may already be there! LOOK!" I said, pointing to the dot.
It was moving across the mountains, slowly but surely.
"He must already have it!!" Amy said angrily.
"Now what?" Knuckles said, cracking his wrists.
"We have to go and get it back."
Shadow stepped in through the door. His piercing eyes stared at us.
"Because I know for SURE that THAT-" he pointed to the moving dot- "is not Eggmans doing."

"But-" Tails started, blinking. "how-"
"I just know, ok?" Shadow huffed. "Eggman has some drone or robot doing his dirty work right now, and the sensors you have are heat sensors. That means that someone other than the doctor has the medallion right now."
We all stood, astonished. "how did you know that Shadow?" I asked, wondering if my suspicions were true.

His eyes grew wide as he realized what he said.
"B-Blaze contacted us through a message that said a drone was looking for the medallion. I forgot to tell you." He fumbled with his gloves.

I thought he was lying, but everyone else seemed to buy his story for the most part, so why shouldn't I?
Yet my gut was telling me a different story.
My problem was.. What if my gut was right?
