For the Barson Bingo December 2021 Prompt: Noah dances in The Nutcracker

We could all use some Christmas cheer after that episode.

Noah's excited for his performance in the nutcracker and his parents and baby sister as well as his  aunts and uncles are the supportive of him.

"You ready to pick up the kids from school?" Olivia said as she knocked on the door of Rafael's office.

"One second, just finishing up some things for arrangement in the morning.

"Well, we promised our son we'd take him to get his favorite dinner before the opening show tomorrow night." Olivia said as she walked closer to her husband and kissed his cheek.

Rafael blushed a bit before speaking to his wife.

"Work can wait." Rafael said as he got up from his office chair and put on his suit jacket and coat. "You're pretty convincing yourself."

Olivia and Rafael walked hand in hand to Olivia's car and headed towards Blythe's daycare. Their daughter was playing with the other one year olds until she heard her parents' voices. They filled out the sign out sheet and Olivia picked up Blythe from the floor.

"Mama! Papí!" Blythe said.

"How'd she do keeping her glasses on today?" Olivia asked Blythe's teacher.

"Pretty good. She only took them off twice today." Her teacher said.

"We're working on it, but she's stubborn." Olivia said. "We'll see you tomorrow."

Blythe babbled in her car seat as she played with one of her toys.

"Someone had a good day today." Olivia said as she looked at Blythe in the rear view mirror.

"Yeah, considering she's teething again and kept us up all night. She's cute though." Rafael said as they were waiting in the line for Noah's car line.

A happy Noah Benson-Barba got in his mother's  car and was excited to talk about his day.

"Are you excited for tonight mijo?" Rafael said.

"Yeah Papí. I'm a little nervous but I am excited." Noah said as he bucked his seatbelt.

"We'll we're excited for tonight. So we're gonna take you to get your favorite dinner before your performance so where would you like to go?" Olivia said.

"Can we go to the place where Papi gets the Cuban food?" Noah said.

"Sure. Such a good choice." Rafael said with a smile considering he has made such an impression with his son.

Noah picked a table at the restaurant as he and his family sat down and placed their order for dinner.

"We're really proud of you Noah all your hard work for your Christmas recital." Olivia said.

Blythe cooed and gave her big brother a smile and she handed him some of her baby food.

"Thank you but I think you should eat your baby puffs. Besides they're all wet."  Noah said with a smile.

"Bee's teething again. She did keep us up all night but we're looking forward to tonight." Olivia said as she handed Blythe her sippy cup.

After dinner, the family went home so Noah could get ready and squeeze in some family time. Blythe had been taking steps since her first birthday but has been taking off on her own around the house.  The two Benson-Barba children were playing in the living room as their parents were talking in Rafael's home office.
