Olivia is cross-examined by Buchanan and confides in her family for support.
Olivia notices the time and walks out of the waiting room to see her friends waiting for her. She took a deep breath before approaching them as she was holding her jacket in her arms. Amanda notices first and meets her in the middle.
"Liv." she says with a genuine small smile.
"I got tired of hiding everything. I don't want to be ashamed anymore. Elliot doesn't get to control me anymore. He's the one who gave me the bruises so he should be the one hiding.."
"You're amazing Liv. I'm so proud of you. I think it's time he sees exactly what he did to you."
Jet walks over to Olivia and gives a small smile.
"You really are fearless, Captain Benson. I wish I could find a way to stop hiding but part of it is just me I guess."
"It took a lot to do this Jet. And you don't need to change who you are. You've shown us already that when you shine, you shine."
"Thank you, Captain."
"Jet I know that in time we'll both be okay. And you're for sure going to blow us all away."
Jet gives Olivia another small but genuine smile.
"You really are a legend."
And with that Jet walks back over to Ayanna who looks at Olivia and mouths " Way to go Captain."
Out of the corner of her eye, Olivia sees Sonny and Fin. She knows they care about her but they don't need to see these marks in person. She goes to put her jacket back on but Sonny walks over, careful to keep his distance, and says:
"Liv, I'm pretty sure I know what you're thinking and you don't need to. If you want to keep your jacket off it's okay. I can see how free you feel reaching this point and we're gonna support you."
"If anyone dares to tell you you should hide anything, they'll have to deal with us." Fin says.
"Thank you both. That means more than you may know."
Then Noah comes running over with Maureen and Elizabeth following behind him and they all stop in their tracks.
"Crap, I didn't think this through." Olivia thinks
Noah walks over to his mother and gently takes her hand with the cast. He pulls out a marker he hid in his pocket from earlier and writes " I'm happy you feel brave, Love Noah". Olivia starts to tear up and Noah looks up at her with a big smile.
"It's okay Momma, you were very brave. You told me that sometimes we can get hurt helping people. But we can remember that we are courageous instead of the scary parts."
Olivia drops down to her son's level and gives him a big hug. She breaks it and looks at her son with a sincere smile.
"You are the most incredible little boy Noah. I'm proud to be your mother and I'm proud to have you as my son. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Momma."
Seeing the looks on Maureen and Elizabeth's faces Olivia knows she needs to say something.
"Noah, why don't you go talk with your Aunt Amanda while I talk to Maureen and Elizabeth okay?"
"Okay, Momma."
