Merry Christmas to y'all! Here's a cute little Christmas story!

For the Barson Bingo December 2021 Prompt: baby's first Christmas, kiss under the mistletoe,

Listen here, Blythe Benson-Barba's birthday is December 9th (what a day to pick of all days before we knew what would become. I've started this fic before then so who knows about the episode yet) so this is her second Christmas but I make the rules here. Tbh it all fell apart so I'm co-authoring a fix it fix but but I'll get back to writing.

Blythe Benson-Barba was happy and smiling in her crib on Christmas Eve morning. She pulled herself up and was holding onto her her crib railing as she stopped sucking on her pacifier to call out to her parents. Her mother responded to her call.

"Good morning Bee. Let's get you dressed and ready because Papí made breakfast. Uncle Sonny offered to take our Christmas family photos today. Then we're gonna have your first Christmas party with your aunts, uncles and cousins." Olivia said as she puts Blythe's glasses on her and lays her on the changing table to change Blythe's diaper and dressed her in a red Christmas onesie and green leggings.

After brushing Blythe's hair and picking a suitable Christmas hair bow, the mother and daughter went downstairs to see Rafael and Noah making breakfast.

"Good morning chicas guapas. We're almost done with breakfast." Rafael said as he kissed his wife's lips and his daughter's head.

"We made French toast, bacon and scrambled eggs." Noah said as he stepped down from his step stool and got the plate and silverware to set the table for breakfast.

"Sounds good to be to Blythe and I." Olivia said as she put her daughter in her high chair and put her bib on her. "Thank you for setting the table."

"I was thinking about last Christmas my little sister was a tiny baby. Now Blythe is one." Noah said.

"Yeah she is. A year ago we brought her home from the hospital. Blythe Lucille gave a little Christmas miracle big gaining weight and finishing her bottles." Olivia said.

"Our daughter has become a foodie like her Papí. Even as a newborn. The fan favorite however is still rice and beans." Rafael said as he cut up Blythe's breakfast and put the plate in front of her.

After breakfast, Noah and Blythe playing together when their parents suggested making a Christmas craft.

"What are we going to make?" Noah asked.

"Well when you were small, I made ornaments with your handprints. We made Blythe's too when's she was small, even though you two are getting older, we wanted to make them for you and her Noah." Olivia said.

"I think this year, there's a lot to be be grateful for. You Mamí and I are healthy and so are you and Blythe. Spending more quality with you three is so important to us." Rafael said.

"I like spending time with you, Momma and Bee." Noah said with a smile as he and Blythe joined their parents.

Rafael had Blythe in his arms as he tried to make her handprint in the clay ornaments. The task had become rather difficult even though Blythe loved play dough.

"Liv, how we'd do this with a newborn?"

"Blythe was asleep and it was four in the morning. Our first night with a newborn was beautifully crazy. It was an really beautiful Christmas morning and I'm grateful." Olivia said as they tried again.

"Can we go see the Christmas lights tonight since we didn't get to go last year?" Noah asked.

"I love that idea míjo." Rafael said.

After taking Christmas photos with Uncle Sonny, the Benson-Barbas tagged along with Sonny, Amanda, Jesse and Billie to go see Christmas lights.

"Lights Papí Light!" Blythe said with eyes of wonder as she was taking in the sights.

"They're beautiful aren't they princesa?" Her father said as he picked her up to see better.

"Momma, the lights so pretty." Noah said as he was holding Olivia's hand.

"Thanks for letting us tag along Liv. The girls are having so much fun." Amanda said.

"Thanks for letting us borrow Sonny for the afternoon. Trying to take family photos right before Blythe's nap was harder than I thought. We did get some good smiles and she kept her glasses on for most of them." Olivia said.

"Sonny has been enjoying doing photography in his free time and I'm proud of him."

"There's a a lot to be grateful for. I have incredible friends like you all and my husband and kids are healthy. There's our guys keeping up with our kids."

"Seems like yesterday we watched Sonny and Barba were arguing about who has the best skills at making ponytails for our girls." Amanda said. "They concluded we were the best actually."

"I actually thought I'd be a boy mom but there's something magical about the joy of Rafa with Blythe. Noah loves his sister. She's every bit Rafa and I. She and I have a special bond though. She's wonderful in every sense of the world." Olivia said with a smile.

After a beautiful walk with the kids, the families joined together along with Kat and Celine, Fin and Phoebe and Hannah and Emersyn at the Benson-Barba home for their Christmas Eve party. There was music playing and kids laughing and couples magically finding themselves under the mistletoe.

"Hey look Rafa, it's mistletoe." Olivia said as she's hugging Rafael.

"Well Mrs. Benson-Barba, could I have a kiss? I think I've been b kill good all year." Rafael said with a smirk.

"Hm really Mr. Barba? I think you've been pretty good and you're handsome AND charming." Olivia said as she gave her husband a kiss on the lips."

Rafael gave Olivia a smile, his lips stained with her red lipstick that matched her red sweater.

"Merry Christmas Rafael. I love you. Thank you for making every day special my love. You're everything I could ask for and more." Olivia said.

"Merry Christmas Olivia. I love you so much. You are incredibly beautiful inside and out. You're I look at our son and daughter and see they have an incredible mother who's the best woman I've ever met. I only wish I'd married you sooner because I want this forever. Squabbling at eighty-five."

"That would be nice. Eighty-five or bust. Now come on, there's Christmas cookies to eat." Olivia said as they rejoined the party.

Late into the night, Blythe was having trouble sleeping so her Rafael got her all cozy on his lap as they rocked together in her rocking chair. Rafael was thinking back to a year ago where he was rocking a newborn Blythe Lucille to sleep after having a bottle. He would take it all the moment's his daughter wanted to cuddle while she did.

" Silent Night, Holy Night. All is calm, all is bright. Round yon Virgin Mother and Child. Holy Infant so tender and mild. Sleep in heaven peace. Sleep in heavy peace."

"Merry Christmas Blythe. Papí loves you." Rafael said after singing and kissing Blythe's head.

Rafael looked up to to see Olivia standing in the doorway, smiling at the two of them.

"Merry Christmas Rafael and Bee." She said as she stepped closer to her husband and daughter and kissed both of their heads.

"Merry Christmas to you. I didn't want to wake you since I heard her crying. She's asleep now seems like I was doing this when she was tiny. I think I'm most grateful for this year is you and your passion for whatever you set your heart and mind to. Blythe and Noah have the best role model to look up to and I'm glad you decided you wanted to share your life with me." Rafael said as he looked up to Olivia and kissed her lips.

"I think that's my favorite Christmas gift of all, one I get everyday Rafa. Now let's go get some sleep because our son will be up soon." Olivia said as the two headed to bed to get ready for Christmas morning.
