Barson Bingo December 2021 Prompt: kids make Christmas cookies
I gotta write more Christmas fluff so I have something to be happy about.
Summary: The Rollins and Benson-Barba kids decided on making Christmas cookies with Sonny and Rafael while their mothers are out.
Noah and Blythe Benson-Barba were playing in the living room of their home as the doorbell rang.
"Yay! Uncle Sonny, Aunt Manda, Jesse and Billie are here!" Blythe said.
"The girls and Uncle Sonny are gonna hang out with you two and Papí while Aunt Amanda and I have some well-deserved Mama time. We'll be back soon okay Bee?" Olivia said to her three-year-old daughter.
"Okay, Mama." Blythe said.
"Have fun Mama, we'll see you later." Noah said as he gave his mother a hug.
Amanda said the same thing to her girls before leaving with Olivia and Carisi and Barba were left alone with the four children.
"Papí!" Blythe said as she was hugging her father's legs.
"Yes lovebug?" Rafael said as he looked down at those big green eyes behind the purple rubber glasses.
"Can we make Christmas cookies?" She said just loud enough so that the other children heard.
"Please Uncle Rafa!" Jesse and Billie said after hearing a "please Papí!" From Noah.
Blythe Lucille Benson-Barba had won her father's heart from the moment she was born. He was already a great lawyer but there was something about being a father and husband that made him even better. He only had Olivia Benson to thank for pulling at his heartstrings first.
"Fine. Only if Uncle Sonny helps too and we all clean up afterward." Rafael said. "There's some of the pre-made dough in the fridge."
The four kids gave him the biggest smile as they washed their hands in the kitchen sink as Sonny got the dough and Rafael got the pan and cookie cutters.
"The joys of fatherhood." Rafael said. "You still thinking about proposing to Rollins?"
"Yeah, I am. Well, I am gonna do it on Christmas day. I just gotta pick up her engagement ring." Carisi said.
"That's good. I'm happy for you. There's something incredible about getting married to your best friend." Rafael said.
"We're ready now!" The kids said.
"Alright kids, we've got some cookies cutters for the dough, and after we can decorate with sprinkles and frosting." He replied. "We started doing this with the kids last year but I think it's fun to have your girls do it with us."
The kids got to work in cutting their cookies out and the older siblings helped the younger ones. Once they were finished, Rafael put the cookies in the oven and the kids wanted to do another activity.
"What can we do while we wait Papí?" Noah said.
"Well how about we can make Christmas cards for your Mamí and Aunt Amanda? I think they'd appreciate it."
"Okay, I'll get my paper and stuff." Noah said as he went to his room.
The three girls were sharing what they wanted for Christmas while they were waiting for Noah.
"What do you want for Christmas Blythe?" Billie asked. "I asked Mama for a bed for my baby dolls."
"Ummm I don't know. I have a Mamí and a Papí and big brother and friends. Oh and aunts and uncles and cousins." Blythe said as she twirled one of her pigtails.
