Kalli here- There are two more songs in this chapter and we have decided to give them to the characters who honestly in my opinion are overshadowed by Stabler. Danielle and Ainsley are both amazing actresses and they deserve credit where credit is due. They are the big reasons why their characters inspire me so much and I believe we do justice in writing them.
Terryn here- I agree with what Kalli said, I really love Ayanna and Jet and the actresses that play them. We wanted to do them justice in this chapter since they play important roles in Organized Crime as well as in the story we're telling.
Ayanna's song is Listen by Beyonce from Dreamgirls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=honPlOzVRCU
Jet's song is You Don't Know Me by Elizabeth Gillies from Victorious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PbwpnDSgdc
Ayanna and Jet choose their sides of the battle. The squad testifies before IAB and Elliot has to figure out his next steps.
When Olivia got up the next morning she had hoped the past twenty-four hours had been a dream but her aching arm said otherwise. She decided to take a shower and think about the decision she was making. She wasn't going to let Elliot get by with hurting people again so she was ending it here. She had some time before she needed to go testify for an IAB investigation. Olivia was fighting with herself internally but had to remind herself she didn't owe Elliot anything. He had thrown Olivia as well as everyone else into the fire and they were all going to burn if she didn't stop this now. It was the right decision and she wasn't going to let her questioning feelings get in the way anymore.
Once Olivia finished getting ready for the day, she saw that Noah was in the kitchen, having a bowl of cereal. He was finishing getting ready for school when his mother sat next to him.
"Are you okay Mom?" He asked as he noticed his mother's cast.
"I just got hurt at work but I'm okay." She said considering everything that had been going on was too much for an eight year old.
"I hope you feel better soon. Would you like some cereal too?"
"Yes please."
Noah got a spoon and bowl from the cabinet and poured the cereal and milk for his mother.
"Thank you sweet boy." Olivia says
Noah smiles at his mom before he sits down to eat with her.
As Olivia was eating the cereal, she was thinking about Rafael's letter. He had done everything in his power to protect her and Elliot's jealousy and anger was trying to undermine that. He put all his love for her into words on a page, and she hopes she'll get to hear them from him in person soon.
She hadn't processed everything in the letter yet but what was on her mind was Rafael doing all of this because he loved her. He had gone through hell and back for her. Olivia Benson was worth everything to Rafael Barba and Elliot Stabler wanted to have him arrested for it. Olivia couldn't help but to think about whether that was Elliot's plan from the start. Did he really care about her or was he so hell bent on revenge, he'd do anything to get it?
Rafael. Right now, he was still fighting for his life. Olivia couldn't help but to think about what he'd been through. He had to deal with Wheatley's taunts, frustration and the looming threat of her death all while building and trying to win his case. The recording she watched from Rafael's apartment only showed the beginning of whatever torture he had gone through. She only saw the aftermath of his broken and bleeding body on his apartment floor. How she missed hearing his voice, seeing him smile and giving her the love and support she needed. To her, not only was Elliot facing the consequences of his actions for what she wanted now, but for Rafael's honor.
