Elliot Stabler takes the stand and shows his true colors. The team stands strong through adversity.
The group walks into the courtroom with their heads held high ready for whatever may happen. Ayanna squeezes her wife's hand and mouths "you've got this". The group sits down and everyone is surprised when Jet covers her mouth trying to hide her snickering.
"Jet, what's so funny?" Ayanna says.
"I'm sorry but have you ever seen Stabler wear suspenders?"
Everyone stops and turns around and sees that Elliot indeed has suspenders peeking out of his jacket.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me." Rita says.
"I'm going to lose it." Amanda says.
"I guess he thinks he's gonna have to look good because his words are going to be what sinks his ship." Ayanna says.
"Uncle Rafa and Uncle Sonny look better." Noah says matter of factly.
Sonny shakes his head and chuckles.
"Thank you, Noah."
"They could be gold plated suspenders and they still wouldn't help him." Rita says
Amanda whispers to Olivia.
"You good, Liv?"
"Yeah. Just remind me that when Rafael wakes up to tell him because I want to be present for the field day he will have over this."
Meanwhile, Buchanan was talking to Elliot trying to give him a last minute pep talk.
"Good, you wore the suspenders."
"I look ridiculous. Why did you tell me to wear these stupid things?"
"It's to show the jury you are taking this seriously and only want to tell the truth to help your family. You're not the bad guy here."
"I'm not the bad guy. Your job is to show the jury that."
"And I will."
Buchahan goes to continue but Elliot cuts him off when he sees Noah sitting next to Olivia.
"Benson's son is here. What do we do?"
"It will be fine Stabler. Maybe now the kid will finally be able to hear the truth."
Just then Judge Donnelly walks in and sits in her seat. She looks at Buchanan.
"Counselor, are you ready to proceed?"
"I am, Your Honor. The defense calls Detective Elliot Stabler to the stand."
Elliot goes to sit in the witness stand and gets sworn in. Buchanan walks over to him.
"Detective Stabler, how long have you been working in the NYPD?"
"Twenty years. I worked twelve years at SVU and now I work at the Organized Crime Bureau."
"And those twelve years at SVU you worked with Captain Benson?"
"Yes, we were partners."
"Can you describe that partnership?"
"Captain Benson was the best partner I ever had. We always had each others backs and we worked together to protect and serve the city while taking some of the most despicable monsters off the street."
"Would you say you were loyal to each other?"
"Yes we were. That is until a few days ago."
"Why would you say that?"
