A/N: Bolded words are spoken in Trigedasleng.
Sky
"Mama, what is taking Mother so long?" Sky asked. It had been hours since Star spoke with Mother and now, the sun was already setting. It was by Sky's estimate, a little after 6 p.m.
"Patience is a virtue, little wolf," Astra replied. Both wolves were sitting under the shade of a tree, Astra nipping Sky's neck and sometimes licking her face. As wolves, this is how they showed their love.
In the hours that passed after Astra spoke with Mother, both wolves played hide and seek. Oftentimes, Astra easily found Sky while Astra wasn't that easy to find. When they got tired of playing, they went for a run and to cool off later, they headed for the river and took a relaxing bath.
It was during this time when Sky looked down and saw her reflection. "Mama, why are my eyes different from the others?"
"Because you're mine," Astra answered but Sky knew that that wasn't the answer.
"Seriously mama, why do my eyes glow differently from the others?"
Astra looked at her and started getting out of the water. "Join me," she said and Sky complied. Astra sat under the same kind of tree that Sky saw in the forest, with graceful arching branches.
Once Sky sat beside her mama, Astra said, "Little wolf, you are so special, so special and you're different from the others because you're my child. Purebloods are born from the union of two alphas but you are more than that. You are the union of a Pureblood and an alpha, that in and of itself makes you stronger." Looking intently as Sky, Astra said, "You are what is referred to as a True Alpha or a True Pureblood. You are stronger, faster, healthier, quicker and smarter than the rest. Your Alpha Voice and Phero Attack are more powerful than any other Pureblood. Basically, you are more."
"Woah! Really?"
"You have no idea how truly rare you are, little wolf. A True Alpha, a True Pureblood is a gift, a true treasure. Mother doesn't allow the creation of True Purebloods that often, you know. She must have a reason why you were born," Astra said, nipping Sky's neck, a sign of affection for her pup.
"What is the reason?"
"I don't know and it's not up to us to question the Creator. It might not be obvious at first why it happened but in time, I think you'll notice subtle changes here and there," Astra replied.
Sky simply nodded. "Are there different types of Purebloods?" Sky asked, leaning her head to the side.
"No, there are only Purebloods and True Purebloods," Astra answered.
"Can two Purebloods have a pup? What would that be like?" Sky asked, looking at her sire.
"I don't think so. A child like that would be almost god-like and extremely powerful. No one should hold that much power," Astra answered.
"I get that. On the ground, people wanted to control the Purebloods to gain power and status but the Alpha and Luna, Lexa's parents, aren't like that. They actually care about us. They even adopted Lisa and her siblings," Sky remarked and Asta nodded.
"Few are the people that are genuine and have no scheming agenda behind their motives. People like that are rare as well. I like to think that people like that give hope in the time of despair. As humans, little wolf, we aren't perfect. We're really flawed but that is the beauty of being human. Our flaws make us unique in our own special way. If we were all perfect, it would be a really boring world; everything and everyone would be predictable. We'd get tired of each other quickly, don't you think?"
