Chapter 55: Nothing Planned

In less than forty minutes, Sky could already see the gates of Arkadia. She found a patch of bush and quickly shifted. Running the rest of the way, Octavia was panting when she arrived at the gate.

Miller was there with his father and quickly opened the gates for her. "O, what's wrong?" he asked as the look on Octavia's face worried him.

"Clarke," is all she said before she ran towards Med Bay. She bursts through the double doors of Med Bay only to find Arni pacing back and forth in the waiting area.

"Arni!" O said, panting, trying to catch her breath. At his name being called, Arni jumped a little and turned to face his future Alpha.

"Alpha Blake, I - I don't know what happened. She told me she was fine and then a while ago, her sister told me what happened. I've tried to get information, but nothing so far," Arni stammered and O nodded.

"That's okay, Arni. I'm here, I'll go see what happened," she said, still panting and headed for Abby's office. She knocked but there was no one so she found a nurse. It was nurse Sharp.

"Nurse Sharp, can you please tell me where I can find Clarke?" she asked and the elderly omega nodded.

"Just go down the hall. The third room on your left. Abby's with her," the elderly omega answered and Octavia thanked her. She trotted down the hall and in a matter of minutes, knocked on the door and opened it.

She found Clarke with her eyes closed and in her mother's arms. Abby was caressing Clarke's back and the omega was sleeping.

"Abby?" O asked, tentatively. Even though Clarke was asleep she still looked a little pale.

Lifting her hand towards her mouth in a matter of shushing Octavia, Abby gently got off the bed and made Clarke comfortable before she motioned for Octavia to follow her outside.

Once outside the room Abby only said, "Let's go to my office. We need to talk." O only nodded, fearing that Clarke had some illness. Silently, both alphas walked to the doctor's room and once seated on the chair, Abby said, "She needs to rest and eat healthy now that she's with pup."

Octavia nodded, then froze and her eyes almost came out of her socket. "¡Ay dios mio!" [Oh my god!] Sky said before she pretended to dramatically faint and Octavia gasped. "Horn dog? Sky?" she asked but there was nothing, only a whine. Rae had been teaching them Spanish when they were at the Ark and this was the first complete statement Sky had ever said besides hijueputa [son of a bitch] and coño. [fuck] Octavia was glad she was seated down and slowly absorbed the news. Abby on the other hand, already had the ethanol ready in case Octavia fainted which thankfully didn't happen.

"Preg - pregnant? Bu- but how? I mean, omegas can only get pregnant when they're in heat and she told me her heat was in the next few weeks. She said she didn't want to get pregnant until after she finished studying," O stammered as her mind reeled with the news.

"Pregnancy can occur outside an omega's heat. There are medical records of it occurring. It is rare, about one in every three thousand cases but it is not impossible. We don't know why it happens but the theory is, it is related to our human DNA rather than our wolf DNA. With our wolf DNA, our sense of smell, sight and hearing are greatly enhanced; however, we are still humans," Abby explained while Octavia only nodded, trying to process everything.

She was happy with the news but there was also fear. She was afraid that Clarke wouldn't want the pregnancy, that she'd opt for an abortion. Octavia wasn't one to force her will on her mates and she respected their decisions but the possibility of Clarke wanting an abortion, made Octavia fearful. What will Clarke do? What will she do? What will Lexa say? What will they do? What? What? What?
