Promptly at 9:45 a.m. Abby, with a big ass smile on her face and is making her way towards the conference room for the scheduled council meeting at 10:00 a.m. She still can’t believe that just a few hours ago, she had her arms around her omega. She honestly thought that Mar would never give her another chance but now, things are different; better and this time, Abby promises herself that she won’t be a coward and allow anyone or anything get in the middle of her and the love of her life. Just before she turns the corner towards the conference room, Marcus joins her.

“So, Dr. Griffin, what’s with the big smile plastered on your face? Even Rosey noticed,” he curiously says. Abby just looks at him and shakes her head and keeps smiling.

“Nothing really, just happy,” she says and he doesn’t miss the slight blush that appears on her cheeks. Raising both eyebrows he smirkly says, “Really happy about the fact that the ground’s survivable or really happy that a certain omega mechanic sneaked out of your home early this morning?” Abby’s defensive and protectiveness over her new found relationship with Mar makes her slam Marcus on the wall and she says threateningly, “What the hell are you doing spying on me Marcus? Don’t interfere in my personal life! Grr….grr,” she snarls at him.

“Woah! Woah! Abby, calm down!” the other alpha tells her as he raises his hands in the air as a sign of surrender. “I wasn’t spying on you but I saw when she closed your door and practically ran towards Mecha. I have no intentions of interfering in your life!” he explains.

She lets go of him and says embarrassed but still slightly defensive, “Sorry Marcus. I didn’t mean to do that, it's just that I’m very protective of Mar and I don’t like anyone messing with her or me.” He shakes his head in understanding and tells her, “Hey, I get it. We knew there was something between the two of you when we were with the girls a few days ago. The look between you and her said a thousand words.” Watching as her eyebrows frown at his mention of “we” he says as an afterthought. “Oh Rosey and I, that’s what I meant and before you ask, yes it's that obvious,” he says smiling smugly.

Abby rolls her eyes and says nonchalantly, “She ran because she was gonna be late for her 6am shift.” He looks at her and simply says, "Oh,” as he opens the door to the conference room.

Inside the conference room already waiting for them is the Chancellor, Thelonious Jaha - male alpha, Cole - female omega, Kaplan - female alpha, Muir - male alpha, Fuji - male omega and Rose - female omega. Marcus takes his seat beside his wife and mate and Abby takes the other seat beside Rose. “Okay, let’s begin. Tell me Marcus, what have you to say since you asked for this meeting?” Jaha sternly asks and everyone shifts their attention towards him.

Standing up he produces the tablet and says confidently, “Council members, we all know what will happen tomorrow and I requested this meeting to inform you that we don’t have to cull 320 persons or anyone for that matter. We all can live,” he strongly emphasizes. “I have proof that the ground is survivable and the 100 are thriving,” he continues, as he opens the video player in the tablet and presses the play button. Ash’s voice is clearly heard.

“The 100 are all safe and surviving. The air is free of poisonous gas. It is estimated that the level of radiation is lower than that on the Ark. The theory we’ve managed to come up with is simple. On the Ark we are in open space with no sort of protection from the UV rays while here on the ground, such protection exists in the ozone layer that we believe is slowly repairing itself. There are abundant trees and wildlife, granted that radiation has changed the physical features of some animals that the hundred has encountered. Located near the dropship are two rivers that provide drinking water, once it is boiled to kill any viruses or bacteria that may be present. Also, there is an abundance of large fish on which the hundred have been able to catch and nourish their bodies as well as small game. One of the alphas has also been able to hunt a buck and thus provided nourishment to the group. Scavenging around the area has also reaped rewards in the form of hidden bunkers with materials such as clothes and blankets among other necessities and also have been able to identify and collect fruits primarily raspberries.”
