Chapter 11: The Woods

The Trikru pack leader and his family live in TonDC. This small town is considered the heart of the Pack. It is an up and coming town. Since forming an alliance with three other packs, TonDC has sort of become the “Capital” of their alliance. Market and trading stalls from the four packs have been placed in the middle of the town so the merchants and traders can sell and trade their goods. It consists mostly of clothing, furs, spices, food, leather, metal and other materials. General meetings and pack conferences are usually held in a building adjacent to the market. It is a brick and stone house that remained from the old world, that has been restored for such events.

The Alpha and his family live in the surrounding area that is secluded from the rest of the town. Their home is a two storey logwood house. The first floor consists of a living/dining area, kitchen, office and the master bedroom with its private bath. The second floor consists of four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Their oldest children, Anya and Lexa do not live with them anymore; they have their own homes within the same vicinity. Only the twin boys, Odi and Oli live with them. As alpha of his pack, Titus must oversee the construction, food distribution, raids and trade routes among other duties that he has. As Luna, Ava’s role is to help her alpha in whatever duties he has to perform but also, she is seen as the “mother” of the pack and so pack members could seek her guidance.

From the distance, Ava watches as both girls spar in the training ground. She can tell something is wrong with Lexa but knows her daughter well and Lexa won’t tell her.

“She’s just like you, hodness. Both of you hold things inside and taking them out is difficult. It’s not until you feel your chest will explode that you talk to me Titus,” Ava says as she turns to watch her mate, who at the moment is not giving her his attention.

He has his nose buried in some maps trying to establish better trading routes so as to avoid the Mountain pack as much as possible. “You’re not even listening to me,” she whines as she moves closer to him.

“Yes, I am niron. I’m just not answering you. It’s a Wood’s thing; not talking about feelings and holding things inside,” he tells her, still looking intently at the maps.

“Aha, aha,” Ava mutters as she goes to stand behind him and circle his waist with her arms and sucks lightly on his claiming bite.

“Done!” Titus exclaims as he rolls up the maps and wraps his arms around his Luna.

“Done huh?” she says huskily.

“Yeah, done Luna. Now you have my undivided attention,” he replies back at her already leading her to the couch in their office room. She laughs as he gently lays her on the couch and starts kissing her neck when suddenly the office door opens and Titus growls out.

“Nontu, what are you doing to nomon?” Odi asks quizzically.

Realizing it's his ten year old pup, he clears his throat and says, “Helping your mother. She fell and I was trying to help her get up,” Titus replies agitatedly, already getting up from on top of his mate. Ava just laughs and whispers in his ear,

“Nat,[Tonight] hodness.” Titus smiles and shakes his head enthusiastically.

“What is the matter Odi?” Ava asks her son after she stands up from the couch.

“Onka Gustus is here. Says he has to talk to nontu,” Odi informs both parents.

“Let him come in son and go check on your brother. Where is he?” Titus asks his son.
