A/N: Bolded words are spoken in Trigedasleng.

The following day, the trio depart with their camping gear and backpacks full of clothes, some food and water. They are escorted to the gates by Clarke and Raven. Clarke feels sore and is in a little bit of pain but nonetheless manages to walk as best she can until she sees a smirking Raven.

“Not a word Rae,” Clarke says with a serious tone and the alpha only chuckles.

“Maybe you should just lay down for the rest of the day,” she says, slyly raising both eyebrows in the air as the omega simply rolls her eyes. After some sad goodbyes, the trio make it to the wooded area where they first met the other alphas. It doesn’t take long for the Purebloods to hear thumps in the ground and look in that direction. Coming towards them are both alphas with three horses, two of which they are riding on. They gasp, “Horses!” Ash exclaims. They’ve only ever seen them in books but now, in real life, they are majestic beauties.

“I see that you all came prepared,” Gustus comments with his gruff voice.

“Yes, we’re ready,” Bellamy simply responds.

“In that case, let’s go. We saw a big group of reapers yesterday making their way over here but let’s hope they change direction,” he comments as he saddles up and hands the reign to Bellamy.

“Are these reapers really dangerous?” Ash asks concernedly. Lincoln turns towards her and notices her concern and then smells her distressed pheromones. Omegas are special and few; they are treated with respect and cherished especially by their mates and he can see her claiming bite. It wasn’t there the last time they met. A distressed omega is a cause for concern and so his natural alpha protectiveness takes over and he goes towards her.

“Little omega, these reapers are dangerous, they are deadly and with their need to feed, they’re unpredictable. They hunt people, the smell of blood calls to them and they turn violent. Yes, they’re dangerous so it is best we avoid them,” he tells her with a serious tone to his voice. Ash begins to get nervous and looks towards the Purebloods. Yesterday, she told them what her father advised and now, she decides that she must place her trust in these two men who have been here longer than she and the rest of her people have been.

Taking a deep breath Ash looks intently into Lincoln’s eyes, “Can I trust you Lincoln? Can I trust that you will not harm us?” she asks valiantly, looking now at both alphas, “I know that we barely know each other and we are trusting you to take us to your leaders and not take us prisoners. I want to trust you both. I know that you and your leaders must feel the same way, so I want to put my trust in you both and my people’s trust as well,” she concludes and watches as both of them look at her stoically.

Gustus is slightly taken aback. Few are the people who have ever spoken to him in a clear and concise manner. Most of the time, people don’t address him because they’re afraid of him but this little omega shows no fear. She shows confidence and a desire to work together. They may be young, but that in no way changes the fact that they’re smart.

“Nontu, I want to trust them; the three of them. Do you think we should at least try?” Lincoln asks his father. “Sha, let’s give them a chance,” he simply responds.

The Purebloods look on and watch the interaction between the other two alphas. “What language are they speaking?” O asks Sky and her wolf projects an image of her shrugging.

“I don’t know,” Sky responds.

“Do you think it’s the right thing to do Sky? I mean, we don’t know these people, who they are, what they do. What if they take us prisoners and we never see Clarke again?” O asks, the idea of something going wrong doesn't sit well with her and she feels a little irritated.
