Chapter 32: Blessing

After O reunites with her people and introduces them to the Alpha and Luna who were delighted by the way to meet two more omegas, the group is escorted to the tents adjacent to the pack house where they were given cots to rest and so the tired group of four fell almost immediately asleep. Gustus had already left for his village. He is still unaware that Gaia is in the pack house with her mate. Ryder as well has gone to be with his family. Ash and Raven then returned to the Alpha's office.

When Bellamy and his mates enter the office, Anya and Fay quickly go to Ava and hug her then Titus and finally Lexa. Both sisters give each other knowing looks and smiles while Bellamy hugs Ash and Raven then hugs Clarke and O.

Now, inside the Alpha's office, Lexa is present with her mates, her parents, Bellamy and his mates as well as Ash and Raven.

"Alpha, Luna there is something that Bellamy and his people must tell you that Fay and I learnt on our journey. We were quick to judge and that was a mistake that we later rectified," Anya says, looking at both her parents and at Lexa.

Creasing his brows together, Titus looks at his mate then towards the sky people. "What is it that you must tell us?" he asks, curiously.

"The Ark where we were born is not a place that you can call a home. Its leadership consists of the Elites. They are made up of the Chancellor, the Council and specialized experts. Our people are forcefully divided into two social classes - the Elites and everyone else. What the Elites want and desire is what will happen and in most cases, some of them are cruel," Octavia says, looking squarely into their eyes.

"In fact, the Elites can only ever be Purebred alphas and omegas and they can only be mated to each other," Clarke adds and watches as the Alpha and Luna frown. She understands their confusion so she motions for Rae and the alpha stands. After a moment, her Purebred features emerge. Fay, Anya, Lexa and her parents are surprised and Clarke gets up and pulls Lexa towards her and closer to the Luna. "Her pheromones hurt if you're too close to her," Clarke adds and both mother and daughter nod. Ash and Raven are mates and so the Purebred's pheromones don't affect her.

"How can Raven do that?" Lexa asks, looking at her omega.

"The first generation of people that were on the Ark had realized that power must be governed only by the strongest so the higher tiered experts began rigorously tampering with their alpha DNA until they created what we refer to as Purebreds. The Purebred alphas are stronger than normal alphas and can easily dominate a normal alpha. Raven is a Purebred alpha however, she didn't know; she wasn't supposed to be one. We found out the day we left the Ark," Ash says, then takes hold of Raven's hand and starts pumping her soothing omega pheromones and Raven smiles as her features change back to normal.

Titus could feel the power and pheromones radiating from her body although it was not as strong as Purebloods. "Why do you say you weren't supposed to be a Purebred?" he asks and Raven responds, "My mama has a lot of explaining to do, Alpha." Ava raises both her eyebrows and says, "Oh, okay."

"Purebred alphas are few since they're only Elites and a Purebred omega is no different than any omega. The only difference is our social status," Ash says and with her hand, she points to Clarke and herself. "We're Purebred omegas." After that, both Clarke and Ash take turns explaining the Ark's society and watch as the Alpha and Luna frown with anger and disapproval at what they are learning about the Ark.

"Why did you all wait till now to tell us of this?" Titus asks, barely reigning in his anger and everyone notices.

Ava is furious as well but in order to calm her mate, she pushes her anger aside and focuses on calming Titus. "I told you I didn't want to invite a wolf in sheep's clothing and that is exactly what happened!" he growls out.
