A/N: Bolded words are spoken in Trigedasleng.
After they leave, the trio makes their way back to the pack house, feeling happy with what they were able to accomplish however, Bellamy and Octavia are downhearted. Bellamy is leaving without ever having spoken with his mates, but promises himself and Talon that they will return. As for Octavia, Lexa's scent still lingers in her lungs and she's sad she never met her but promises that she will return with Clarke so that they all can meet.
Back at the Woods' home after dinner, Fay and Anya are in their room and they're both trying not to look at each other; they don't know what to say. Both were highly affected by Bellamy's scent and they don't know how to explain it. Fay knows that they have to talk to each other and so she begins. "What happened to us Anya? Why were we so affected by him? Why do I feel so down now that he is gone?" she asks, hoping to find the answers in those hazel eyes but all she gets are more questions than answers.
"I don't know Fay. I feel the same way. When I touched him, those sparks were strong and I felt it travel all around my body just like when we are together. It's the same thing but why? Why does it happen?" she mumbles and looks at her mate.
"Is it because we haven't claimed each other? I mean if we had claim marks, would things be different?" Fay asks, more to herself than to Anya.
"I don't know," Anya says in one breath.
"In here, we won't find the answers Anya. I think it's best to look for him and maybe he can give us the answers we seek," Fays says but Anya counters back.
"Fay, we just can't leave. Lexa's in heat and we must look after her. She was also affected by Octavia but she already has a mate and I don't want to hurt my sister's feelings by telling her," Anya confesses.
The mate call is strong and Fay can't fight it. In fact, she doesn't want to fight it. Her beta's instincts urge her to give in but Anya is right. They have to guard Lexa.....but still the thought of being around Bellamy proves too much for her and in her eagerness she says, "It's just for a little while. We just need to clear all of this up and then we'll come back. No one has to know that we're not here."
Anya thinks it over for just a second and gives in due to the mate call. Her omega instincts propel her forward to seek out the answers that perhaps Bellamy can answer and so she nods and both mates quietly leave the house, ensuring that they aren't seen, however try as they might, the Alpha has seen them.
Titus shakes his head and decides it's best not to tell Ava; she'll worry. "These women are going to kill me early," he mumbles as he goes up the stairs, heading for his room. He quietly opens the twins' room and they're sleeping. He then slowly and silently opens Lexa's room but she is not there and he becomes worried until he hears water running in the bathroom so he goes to his bedroom, satisfied that Lexa is safe.
Back at the pack house, Bellamy is laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Sleep cannot conquer him tonight; the mate call is too strong and his wolf can feel it as well. He can sense Talon's uneasiness at the knowledge that they will leave and not be able to at least talk to their mates. The trio decided to call an early night since tomorrow they'll be travelling back as soon as the sun comes up. Ash is peacefully sleeping in her room, her last thought was her alpha and the knowledge that in three days, she'll be back in Raven's arms.
As for Octavia, she can't sleep either. She tosses and turns in her bed. Her only consolation is that in three days she'll have Clarke in her arms and they can make plans to come and find their other mate. However, the mate call proves to be something that she cannot ignore; as much as tries, she can still feel her other mate's scent in her lungs. "Lavender with vanilla and something sweet," she hums back to Sky and hears as her wolf rumbles back. She was able to discern the vanilla scent from one of the sacks that Lincoln had given them.
