That same night, Clarke has the radio in her hand and is listening to her sister talk."Don't worry nena [baby girl] tomorrow Ash and I will be there to support you and O," Rae says over the radio when Clarke hears Ash say, "And Lexa."
"Yes, and Lexa," Rae adds.
"What about moms? Are they coming as well?" Clarke asks, hoping to get a positive answer. Now that both siblings have come to the realization that they are a family; weirdly formed, yes but still a family, she refers to Mar as her mom as well although she's never told the older omega personally.
Sometimes, just like now, she wonders - had it been that Abby and Mar stayed together, Clarke would've probably never been born and if she had, the blonde omega knows that she wouldn't have been Abby's daughter. Moreover, who is to say that she and O would've met when they did or after. Life is funny that way, Clarke thought to herself but still, she is happy with the outcome even if it comes with a sting of pain at the realization that for all of this to happen and for them to be the family they are, she had to lose her father, her hero. Jake will always be her hero. He brought her into this world, loved her with all his heart, taught her everything she knows about being an omega; about being herself and she loves who she is.
So lost was Clarke in her thoughts, she didn't listen to what her sister said so she asked her to repeat it. "I said that I don't know. Mama's heat is supposed to be over today but I haven't seen them or heard from them and since I can't go near ...." Rae trails off.
"Yeah, yeah.... I know. That's okay although I would've wanted them to be here but I understand," Clarke answers a little disappointedly.
"Hey don't be sad. I'm sure that if they could, they would be there," her sister said, trying to cheer her up. The sisters talk for a few minutes before Sinclair's voice is heard through the radio, calling for Rae.
"Sorry nena [baby girl] gotta go. Work's calling," Rae says and Clarke let's her go but not before making her sister promise that she and Ash will be at TonDC tomorrow.
The following morning, Abby is lying on her side as she admires her mates' sleeping form. These past five days have been like a dream for them. In her heat, Mar was everything Abby could've imagined and more. Every waking moment for them was filled with passionate lovemaking, gentle thrusts and whispers of undying love between them. Abby was ever giving as an alpha is with their mate, but the doting and possessiveness she felt knowing that the woman sleeping soundly beside her is undeniably hers, filled the Purebred alpha with tremendous joy and exuberance.
As she lay admiring, her mate, Mar slowly began to stir awake. Once warm, brown eyes opened, Abby pulled her mate close to her and gave her a sweet, tender kiss. Mar moaned as her alpha explored her mouth and so the omega tightly wrapped her arms around the alpha's neck.
"Mmm... What time is it, mi amor? [my love?] Mar asked after separating her lips from Abby's.
"Around 6:30 a.m." the alpha answered.
"Good, that gives us time to take a bath and try to get rid of the smell we've made so that we can go to TonDC for Clarke's fight," Mar said, removing the covers from around her.
"Are you sure you can go? Aren't you feeling tired? You should rest," Abby states but Mar shakes her head no.
"Yes, I'm tired but not that tired that we can't go to see our kid's fight," Mar responded and Abby looked at her intently, then a big grin appeared on her face.
"You called Clarke, ours," Abby says, a little astounded. She knew that Clarke and Mar got along but it's the first time that Mar refers to Clarke as her child and this makes Abby really happy to know that after everything, Clarke has accepted Mar just as Mar has accepted Clarke.
