"Such a damn shame- a waste- slinkin' behind my back like some kind of dick-less worm. Plannin' on killin' me. Plannin' an very nearly succeedin' on killin' you too,"
Negan ranted as he and his sister walked down one of the corridors of the Sanctuary, whilst Bella's mind raced wildly trying to piece together a plan to win the war. As he spouted his feelings to the one person un-keen on hearing them, Negan paused to reflect on just how much Bella had endured since they found each other again. A part of him feeling guilty since he could see how he was responsible for some of it, when in reality he was responsible for all of it. That night, the beating and losing of loved ones, almost getting murdered more than once, her babies life on the line at every second, it was a lot... even he could see that.
He sighed once Bella noticed he had halted in place, and she found herself soon wondering why he had taken such a turn in front of her. Without words being said, he decided to let his vulnerability carry him in the moment as he cautiously pulled back the collar of her jacket, showing the predominant bandage around her throat. This surprised Bella, she saw the care in his eyes and it made her feel things she didn't want to; she couldn't help feeling an essence of love for the brother she hoped he could have been.
"I'm not gonna let anyone hurt you again, I fuckin' swear it." He promised.
If only that were true, she thought silently.
Straightening himself out and sniffing away a tear of great meaning, he re-covered the bandage for Bella and began to lead the way once again. "It's a shame we still have business to attend to but it seems this back-stabby bullshit likes to spread."
"Meaning?" Bella asked, feeling concerned for what he meant given the note she had been left and the quarrel of betrayal between Dwight and Laura.
"Meanin'..." Negan held open one of the back yard doors and as Bella walked through, she saw Dwight knelt on the ground with a small group of Saviors surrounding him.
A beaten and bruised Dwight looked up to his leaders sister, finding her presence offering a slight sense of serenity to him. Pushing through his burning muscles, he straightened his back and rose his chin, attempting to show he wasn't afraid of what was to follow.
"What did you do?" Bella questioned towards her brother.
"I believed another dick-less worm on their word, instead of trustin' my god damn instincts. Well, let me tell you somethin' D,-" Negan dropped to Dwight and grabbed his chin within his leather gloved hand, "-I ain't ever gonna do that shit again."
"How did you find out between them?" Bella shot, unable to understand how he could have possibly worked out the truth fro himself.
Negan grinned widely, diminishing the betrayal he felt with egotistical power. "When I said Dwighty boy would come through for me when I needed it- oh, I meant that one hundred an ten percent. See, I knew I could count on the fact that one of these two-" Negan pointed from Dwight to Laura who was stood a few feet away from them, "-would deliver my plan to Rick, my brilliant, if I do say so myself, fake-ass plan."
