Catalina's POV

Once I finished packing a small bag, I slugged it over my shoulders and slid out of my room. Closing the door behind me I glanced at Ares who was waiting beside Jessie.

Book in hand, I walked ahead with the two beside me. They chatted a little but Ares asked him about Tartarus. It was funny to see their interactions and when they saw me they smiled and we began to walk.

I was at the center and contemplated what type of person I think Jessie will become. If he becomes a Titanus, what name will I grant him which he will serve and live under for the rest of his life?

Markus, Lawrence, maybe something religious? Atlas sounds nice, a titan who is responsible for holding up the heavens. Or maybe Helios, the titan as well as the god of the sun.

"Zephyr, or maybe Kratos?" Ares asked. I glanced at him knowing he was thinking the same thing.

"I actually really like Kratos," I said as we entered an elevator. "Kratos!!!" My brother shouted, beating his chest.

We got inside and Jessie looked at us curiously. "When someone joins the familia, the heir is in charge of their rebirth which includes some rituals and other aspects. Something minor but as important is the renaming of the individual by the heir." Ares said ruffling his hair as I pressed the button.

"Oh, so you two are thinking Kratos?" He asked, pushing Ares's hand away. "Depends, I would have to look through the family books. I have to make sure there aren't any Kratos'es in our history who have tainted the name in any way. Wouldn't want a jinxed name." I said as we made our way down to the bottom floor.

When we arrived, Ares led us to his ship. This was a gift from our father when Ares completed his training to be the family trainer. It took him so many years but when he succeeded he was given this beauty.

It was funny because most of the family thought my father was gonna get him a bride, but ended up getting him a ship and told him to find one himself as he had done himself. It's also funny because of his motion sickness, but he has gotten used to his own driving.

We entered after Ares did a weird pose and introduced his 'wife'. I sat in a chair and opened my computer and the book to look through the family name archives. Jessie told us to buckle up and we were off to Tartarus.

Jessie sat across from me and after a minute I looked up at him. I pulled out a small pole-like design and held it out in front of me then pushed a button. Thin slots on both sides opened and extended a green screen and stopped. It was like a stiff book. Then a light turned on showing a thick book of pages.

I put on a pair of gloves from my backpack and flipped through the pages until I got to some old history of when we first started the trials. I then removed the gloves and held them out to Jessie. He watched amazed then reached out and took them.

He was a bit confused then put them on as I instructed him on what to do, and how to use the devices. When he understood and began to read, I continued with my own research.

It was a long journey but eventually, we made it to the planet. We did not get close or enter its atmosphere and instead stayed a good distance away as I got ready. "May I ask what you're gonna do?" Jessie questioned as he flipped a page.

"As you saw before when entering Tartarus, the planet and its residents attack all who try to enter the atmosphere by force. My ship can't fight that battle like it did last time, regardless if my beauty won." Ares said as he left the ship on autopilot and stood up walking over.

I stood up in turn and removed my raincoat and my boots. I took my harness off and belt, setting them on my chair. When I finished I put my goggles on the table and walked over to a mirror.
