The rest of the day consisted of hanging around with my group.
I heard that Joe Weller went home ill, which explained for the absence of his nagging.
Also, Alfie wasn't in any of my lessons either. Yes. I did check. More than once. So I aimlessly messed about all day and did pretty much... Nothing.
How ever it was now later on in the day and school had finished. I was walking into the park, ready to meet Connor.
"Zo!" I heard someone shout in the distance,
I looked around for somebody to explain, but couldn't see anyone.
Suddenly, an out of breath Connor jumped behind me and pushed down onto my shoulders.
"Helloooooo!" I shouted back to Connor, right in his ear.
"Oooooouwchhhh!" He squealed, in the most least manly voice ever.
"Come on, I want to find out the rest of the story Zobo!" He excitedly grinned at me.
"You don't have to but..." I faded off, not wanting to bore the poor boy to death.
"I wanna know every. single. gory. detail." he winked.
"If your sure, then where are we gonna go?" I questioned,
"What about the bridge?" He smiled,
"What bridge?" I strained my reply,
Not another secret place, for goodness sake.
"It's in the woods, like 5 minute walk?"
I sighed at the fact it was probley gonna take hours to get there...
"Okay, let's go" I reluctantly muttered.
******
We were now both kelt down, looking over the side of an old bridge. I was half way through explaining the whole story, from kissing Joe, to being Alfie's girlfriend.
Connor just sat there. Taking in every detail. I love him for that. We sat there talking for a good three hours because it began getting dark. He is the best person to go to for advice. He talked me through everything, what I should say, do, react. He talked about my problems with me, even if he got bored 5 mins in, he still helped me.
"Thank you Connor" I whispered,
He didn't say a word, he just hugged me, but when he pulled back he looked at me and held his knees up to his chest and sighed.
"What's up?" I questioned, "I've been so wrapped up in my life that I haven't thought about you, tell me" I blabbered, as I slung my arm round his shoulders.
"I was gonna say it's nothing, but I feel like it's taking over me. I'm worrying about it all the time and ... Can you help me Zo?" He muttered, as I hugged him tight.
I released him from my arms and nodded my head and he began to explain as the sky got dimmer and dimmer lighting.
******
"So basically your in a love/best friend triangle with Tyler and Troye?" I finished,
"Well no, I'm getting in the way... They're perfect together!" He exclaimed but clearly still upset about it.
I grabbed his hands and pulled his light body weight up onto his little, I think, feet.
"We need to go, but..." I then began firing back all of the advice that he gave me.
Between us we had quite the counciling skills, although I knew all that would go to pot when I was in those situations. I just needed to remember what Connor said. And then...maybe...just hopefully... Joe Weller would understand.
But when is anything ever that simple.
It's not. And it's never going to be either.
