Chapter 31.

I text Alfie to meet me behind my house, I couldn't wait to spend time with all my friends but in the back of my mind I will always be worrying about my brother.
"Boo!"
I automatically screamed and jumped about 5 inches in the air.
"Alfieeeee!" I laughed, dragging out the e.
"Hey zobo head, is Joseph alright now?, what happened to him?" Alfie questioned, looking genuinely really concerned.
"He's being bullied, but it's getting sorted now" I weakly smiled, emotions brimmed in my head at the thought of it again.
Alfie sighed and wrapped his strong arm around me, as we began walking towards the bridge to meet Tanya, Jim, Connor and Kian.
"Something weird happened to me today too" Alfie whispered.
"What was it?"
"Marcus talked to me" he smiled lightly.
"What did he say?" I asked, my eyes widened.
"He said hi"
"Woah" I said, genuinely shocked at Marcus. Maybe seeing my little brother being bullied gave him a kick up the ass to stop doing it to other people. I hope the rest of my group can see that too.
He shrugged his shouldered and smiled at me, hope filling his soft brown eyes.

We were all sat down at the bridge simply chatting about anything and everything. It was nice. In fact it was amazing actually having real friends that I could be completely myself with. Don't get me wrong though, I love my popular group but I'm not the real me when I'm with them.
"Shall we risk going to the shop then?" Connor spoke up.
"I think so, we'll just have to move apart if we see ... Anyone we know" I suggested.
"Let's goooo then!" Jim grinned at us all.
We began walking through the woods towards the shop.
Everyone started talking but I began thinking back to my brother. Suddenly my mind filled with thoughts.
Joe weller, why does he want to meet me?
My brother getting bullied, how long has that been going on for?
Alfie and Marcus... Why did Marcus talk to him? I could ask him tomorrow but he would probley get embarrassed and say something like, 'he was just checking that t he was human!' Or something stupid like that.
Once my thoughts had nearly finished trailing around my head I looked up and we walked into the drive way of the shop.
"Zo!" I heard a shout from behind me.
"What happened?" My brother ran over to me with blood flowing out of his nose.
"They found me" he cried as he buried his head into my chest but careful not to get it on my new top.
"Was it the same three boys" I said, my eyes brimming with hot tears.
"Yeah" he nodded and replied.
My friends crowded around us and Joe ran to Alfie and cuddled him too.
"Oiiii zoebo!!" I heard a shout. Crap. Marcus.
"Is that your brother?" He questioned as he walked over to me and looked down at Joseph.
"Yeah" I whispered.
"Hi...urr... Alfie right?" He questioned.
"Ye-yeaahh" Alfie half smiled, obviously chuffed that he spoke I him again.
Marcus held out his hand and Alfie went to shake it, Marcus pulled away quickly and put his hand through his quiff.
"Ahahahah, I'm joking Alfie" he said patting his back and laughing.
"You seem cool, come and hang out with us one time" Marcus grinned.
Alfie simply nodded and smiled happily back to him.
Joe then ran back over to me and hugged me again.
Marcus leant down to his level and smiled apologetically.
"So, yourrr the famous Joe sugg" he said whilst ruffling his blondey brown hair.
Joe sniffed his nose and coughed a bit as the blood chocked him slightly.
"Come with me and we'll get some ice to put on that eye dude" Marcus kindly said to him.
"Is that alright Zoë?"
"Yeah of course, go on Joe" I smiled genuinely for once.
"Oh hello!" Marcus chimed as he saw Jim and Tanya.
"Hi!" They waved back. They all introduced themselves before Marcus walked inside the shop with Joseph.
We all stopped and looked around each other gorping.
"He's nice" Tanya laughed.
"Agreed" Jim chuckled at our star strucked faces.
"Well he's certainly changed his tune" I simply stated.
Moments later my brother came out the shop with an ice pack on his eye and his nose all cleaned up.
"I know the shop owner so it's all good now, Right buddy?"
Joe nodded his head.
"What do you say?" I smirked.
"Thank you m-Marcus" Joe stuttered, obviously still worried about him being this new and kind kid unlike the bully and cool kid that others knew about.
"See ya tomorrow Marcus" I shouted as he turned round and started walking back.
"That was weird but I guess we'll find out what that was about tomorrow, meanwhile, I need to take Joe home to mum and dad, sorry guys!!" I said as my face saddened slightly.
"It's okay zo, see ya tomorrow" Kian said as everyone came and hugged me. I got an extra two kisses from Alfie and with that I trudged home with my brother cuddled up to my left arm.
