Chapter 39: FOREVER
“Oh, my god! I'm so excited for the wedding!” Mommy Celine exclaimed. Her eyes are sparkling with happiness.
Nahawa ako at napangiti din. Inayos ko ang pagkakapatong ng laptop sa unan dahil sa bahagyang pagdulas nito sa aking mga hita.
“Ako din po, Mommy. Medyo nakakapagod lang ang preparation pero worth it naman.”
My forehead slightly knitted as I remember the whole wedding preparation. It was really stressful. Bukod sa masusing pagpili ng mga bagay na gagamitin sa kasal tulad ng bulaklak, wedding cake, gown at simbahan ay kapansin-pansin talaga ang malagkit na sulyap ng wedding planner kay David. She almost literally have no shame at talagang pilit na sumama sa suit fitting ni David. It's a good thing that David seems to be head over heels in love with me that he doesn't even spend a second to look at her direction. And to be honest, even if she has an obvious like to David, she totally helped me a lot.
“Kamusta ang paglilihi mo?” she asked and glanced at my tummy. Napahawak din ako sa tiyan ko at mas lumawak ang pagkakangiti. It's already been five months since this little angel formed inside me.
“It's better na po, hindi na gaya ng naunang mga buwan. Morning sickness na lang po ang kadalasang pinoproblema ko ngayon.”
Parehas naagaw ang atensyon namin ni Mommy nang may maliit na kamay ang sumubok abutin ang laptop niya. Agad na naging alerto si Mommy at hinawakan ang laptop gamit ang kaliwang kamay habang binuhat naman niya ito gamit ang kabila at inupo sa kanyang hita. A pair of black colored eyes welcomed me innocently. She blinked for a couple of times before tilting her head.
“Wow. You wook sho beautiful. Whatsh your name?” she expressed softly.
“Thank you, I'm Ate Aisha. By the way, you look so pretty too!”
Mommy crouched to kiss the top of her head. “You haven't met Ate Aisha, right? Come on, angel, introduce yourself.”
Her eyes lit up. “Helo, Ate Ash-ya. My name ish Gigi and I'm 5 yeash owld!”
My heart throb at the sight of her gummy smile. I have this sudden feeling that all I wanted to do is just pinch her soft looking cheeks.
“Hi, Gigi! I like your stickers so much,“ saad ko nang mapansing nababalot ng iba't ibang disney characters na mga sticker ang dalawa niyang braso.
“Oh, thank you. My Kuya Gian bought the-sh for me,“ she distractedly muttered before starting to poke her stickers one by one and introduce them to me.
Natawa si Mommy sa ginawa ng bunsong anak ngunit nang makitang naaaliw din ako ay hindi na niya ito sinubukang pigilan.
My attention was snatched when I heard the bathroom door opened. David walked with only a white towel lazily hanging on his hips. Hawak ang mas maliit na tuwalya na ginagamit sa pagtutuyo ng buhok. The droplets on his bare skin sparkle against the morning sun from the open windows. His powerful muscled-body moved with easy grace.
His mouth twisted when he noticed me looking at his torso. And instead walking to the closet, he moved to face me and his fresh from bath bod is fully in my line of sight. My throat instantly went dry. Damn, he's obviously teasing me.
For seconds, I totally forgot what I was doing and my brain can think nothing but the things I wanna do with this man inside our bedroom. Mabuti na lang at malaking T-shirt ni David ang suot ko because I can honestly say that my nipples are hard right now.
'Calm down...' I thought . My hormones is rejoicing too much and it seems to be untamable.
“Why you wook funny, ate Ash-ya?”
