"Ricky, what the fuck was that?!" Chris yelled at the guy in a hushed tone. They had just gotten done performing and it was clear to everyone, including the fans, that something was off with Ricky. The show was an absolute mess.

"Nothing." Ricky shook his head, stepping around the taller man to walk off but Chris grabbed his shoulder.

"You need to fix this. I don't care what it takes, but you've got untill tomorrow's show to just do what you've gotta do."

"She doesn't wanna hear it, man. Look, I'll pull it together, it'll be fine." Chris rolled his eyes at his best friend.

"She doesn't wanna hear it or you're letting your pride get in the way? Sometimes we have to just suck it the fuck up and apologize.. Wether it was our fault or not. You'll regret not fixing things, Rick.. And I refuse to let you ruin this tour." Chris wasn't exactly a love expert.. But one thing was for sure, being with Kat had taught him alot and made him a better partner and man. "Go." He shoved the man. "Call her, go see her... Whatever you have to do."

Ricky knew Chris was right, he would forever regret letting something stupid ruin their entire relationship and he couldn't let her go.. At least not without trying to fix things first.

He found himself pacing outside the bus, contemplating what to say as he held his phone.

"I'm sorry... I just can't do this. Being apart for months, wondering where you are all the time or what you're doing.. Having to see you all over social media when I can't even get a hug.. I can't Ricky. I'm sorry."

She had ended things so why was he the one having to fix them? Suck it up. He had to remind himself of what Chris had said. He couldn't let her go.

The flight was booked before he could think twice as he grabbed some clothes and got an uber to the airport.

He had about an hour to think of what to say, how to fix things.

He thought about booking her flights to some of their shows so they could see each other occasionally throughout the tour.. Thought about inviting her to come along with him.

He knew though that in the end the solution was going to be whatever made her happy... Even if that really meant ending things which broke his heart to think about.

After getting off the flight and getting yet another uber, Ricky pulled up at the place they shared together. He was relieved to see her car in the driveway and was quick to make his way inside.

He found her in the bedroom and his heart broke at the sound of her sobs.

"Baby..." He spoke softly as he dropped his bag at the bedroom door and went over to her. "What's the matter baby?" He sat on the edge of the bed.

"R-ricky?" She took her face out of the pillow she had kept it burried in to look at him as he rested a hand on her leg.

"I'm here love... Come here baby, don't cry." She hesitated but ended up tucked into his side.

"Why?.. Why are you here?" She tried to sound cold but Ricky knew her well enough to know it was a facade.

"Because I'm not letting this be the end of us. We're so good, we're amazing together and I'm not gonna let anything get in the way of that... And well, because I fucked up our show tonight and Chris demanded I fix things before I ruin the whole tour." She cracked a small smile at that. "I need my baby by my side.. I need things to be okay."

"Ricky I-"

"Hailey I will do anything and everything. Just tell me and its done. If the distance is the issue then come with me... Please Hails."

"I can't Ricky." She shook her head, looking away. "I can't be selfish. You need to live your life and your dream and.. I'll just get in the way of that. I love you and I'll always love you so I just want you to be happy."

"I can't be happy without you. Hailey, I need you.. You're my future. When I imagine the rest of my life, youre there for every moment. Im not letting you go Hails... Just don't give up on me. Please, baby. I need you."

"But I'll just get in the way."

"Bullshit." He laughed, shaking his head. How could she think that? "I promise you, you won't. I mean, you already fit right into the group when we're all at home. It won't be much different. Come on.. Think about how cool this'll be. All the places you'll get to see, all the shows you'll get to watch, all the sets I could dedicate to you.."

"I don't know.." She chewed on her lip in thought.

"And if you don't like it I'll fly you back home. Promise.. Just please give this a try.. For me? For us?"

"Fine." She finally agreed after moments of thought. Ricky was ecstatic and they quickly packed her a bag before he booked them flights out for the next morning.

They spent the whole night in each others arms, making up and catching up.

When they made it back to the next tour location Ricky was sure to dedicate a song on their set to her;

Eternally yours.
