"Fawn. My office, now." The man spoke, turning to walk away thus ending the argument. The girl rolled her eyes but followed her boss.
He sat down at his desk as she stopped near the door, still being in the room but able to leave quickly if the man pissed her off. She had a short fuse and everyone knew it.
"I need you to clock out and go home." He spoke, a serious expression on his face.
"Excuse me? I still have work to do. I need to catch up from the last three days and my shift isn't over for another two hours."
"I don't care." He spoke coldly. "I told you from the start that you'll be treated like everyone else here, and the arguing isn't going to be tolerated."
"Well then maybe-"
"Fawn. Just stop. I've heard enough and I'm not changing my mind. Off my clock and go home."
"I have to catch up. What point of that do you not understand?" She raised her voice.
"Either shut the door or shut your mouth and stop yelling." She huffed as she pressed the door closed with a bit of unnecessary force.
"I have two hours more of pay promised to me and three days worth of work to catch up on because you haven't given me a fucking break this week. I'm not clocking out, I'm finishing my work." The girl crossed her arms. Ricky was shocked at how bold she was being and even with her short fuse this was a new low for her. She had never acted like this.
"I'm not worried about you being behind. It's just numbers and words on a paper, or computer rather. But I'm not letting you stay the rest of the day after all of this. Go home or I'll clock you out myself." She knew his word was final and was tired of repeating herself.
"Fine. Then clock me out." She turned, slamming the door behind her once she had exited. She grabbed her cellphone, purse and jacket from her office before going down to their lobby and calling one of her bestfriends to give her a ride home.
"He's on my last fucking nerve." She had ranted to Vinny on the way home.
"He's just doing his job, I guess. I mean you have to take accountability for your part of this too though."
Yeah, maybe she shouldn't have argued with Ricky infront of all of their co-workers. And maybe she shouldn't have yelled, no matter how angry she was. She knew she was definitely in for it.
She had thanked Vinny for the ride when he dropped her off and headed into the house, putting her stuff down before plopping down on the couch, turning the TV on. Maybe he just didn't understand how her brain worked when it came to her job. But she also could've taken a different route with that conversation. She supposed they were both at fault to an extent.
It was around five in the evening when the door was opened, being slammed shut afterwards. She heard him put his keys down on the entry way table before he appeared in the doorway to the livingroom.
"I'm beyond disappointed in you, you have no idea. There's absolutely no excuses for how you acted, but go ahead and humor me. Why the hell did you act like that?" She was often times quiet and shut down when it came to confrontation but she knew she had to find her words.
"I was on my last leg today. It's been all week 'Fawn do this' and 'Fawn do that' when you never even gave me enough time to finish the first task before giving me another! You know damn well that I have other work and other responsibilities to get done for the company. I can't. I'm burnt out, I'm overwhelmed, and you don't even give a fuck Rick!"
"You knew you were signing up to be my assistant when I gave you this job. With me transferring you to run another branch it means you're gonna have to put up with a shit ton of work everyday. If you cant keep up then maybe you don't deserve the spot afterall."
"This has nothing to do with running the other branch. It has everything to do with you dumping your work onto me when you know I have my own to get done."
"I don't know what to tell you. That's part of being my assistant."
"As my boss maybe you should've looked at my workload first before deciding to dump half of yours onto me."
"I told you, Fawn. Everything you're behind on is numbers and words on a screen- which isn't due untill the end of the month. The stuff I've assigned you is more important as it all had a closer deadline. It's called prioritizing."
"Its called you're being lazy and making your work my problems when I have my own." She growled, staring him down.
"Fawn. Shut up. We're done having this conversation. Upstairs, now." He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. He dared her to act out one more time. She was already in for it. When she made no attempt to move he repeated his last word in a low growl.
Sighing, she got up and headed to their room. Knowing that it was too late to fix this, she had already dug her grave."I told you this job wasn't going to be easy. And I'll be honest that you've been doing great, or else I wouldn't be giving the other branch to you. But Fawn, you've gotta understand that work is work. I am your boss, you are my assistant. We need to keep it professional and therefore you need to watch your mouth and your tone with me.
Even outside of work, you know better. At least I thought you did." He told her after she had been punished and they had gotten cleaned up for the night. They laid in bed next to each other, settling in to relax.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled, hiding her face in his chest.
"You should be. And it better not happen again, you understand?" She nodded her head, causing him to let out a growl. He wasn't taking that as an answer. He wanted a real one.
"Yes."
"Yes, I understand."
"Try again." He prompted her, making her look him in the eye. He knew he was torturing her, but after how she had acted he couldn't find it in himself to care. Afterall, it was just words.
"Yes sir, I understand." She mumbled. After making her repeat it louder and clearer he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Get some rest. We both need it." He whispered. "Love you."
"I love you too."
Maybe working for your Dom wasn't always the best idea. Here is the request for whoever wanted a Dom Ricky chapter.
I realized that what was requested was more Dom Vinny and Ricky.. which made me think that maybe I should do a chapter that is poly. I know it's not everyone's thing (it's not mine in real life either) but it could be kinda cool in the end. Any input on this idea?
We've got more requests coming up. I've got one more to get out for Ricky X Chris' sister and I believe a few others that I can't think of at the moment. But just know if you've requesting anything that it's coming soon 🖤
