'Im just over it.' I pressed send on the text before putting my car into drive and heading home.
It had been a rough day.. Well, let me rephrase that. It had been an incredibly rough day that was worse than every rough day Id had at work for the past two weeks.
I didn't hate my job, and it usually wasnt terrible but it had just been alot of unnecessary stress lately. I was almost ready to quit and find a different job honestly.
When I pulled up at my apartment I went inside and changed out of work clothes right away.
'At least your off and its the weekend. Text me when you make it home' Justin had responded. I quickly texted him back before climbing into my bed. Yeah, it was a Friday and it was still early in the day, but I honestly just wanted to sleep off the stress.
'Im on my way to pick you up. Be ready' the message on my screen read.
'Why? Im in bed.'
'You know why. Dont play.' I rolled my eyes at the text and stayed in bed. I was already dressed in a pair of leggings and a oversized hoodie. It wasnt getting any better than this today. And we lived twenty minutes apart so I was in no rush to get up.
Sometime between the last text message and the time he pulled up I must've dozed off because next thing I knew my phone was ringing and I bolted out of my sleep.
"Yes?" I answered Justins call.
"Im outfront. Get your ass down here." He spoke playfully through the phone. I told him I was on my way before ending the call and getting my shoes on.
I quickly headed downstairs and headed straight to Justin's blacked out Camaro.
"Hey beautiful." He greeted as I sat down and closed the door. It instantly brought a small smile to my face as I leaned over and hugged him.
As we took off he played quiet music but it became background noise quickly as we talked.
"-its like we're all busting our ass and stressing for nothing because its never good enough. None of us can catch a break.... I just wanna quit sometimes." I ranted about my job when he had asked whats wrong.
"Theres gotta be something you can do about it. I dont like seeing you stressed like this and its not good for you."
We drove untill we were in the middle of nowhere and the sun had went down. The windows were down and the breeze felt nice.
It was peaceful, and I had needed it.
"Thank you." I spoke as we sat parked.
"For what baby?" His voice was soft as he turned his attention to me and smiled. God I loved that smile.
"For this... For caring and.. Youre just amazing."
"I got you baby." He reached over and took my hand in his. Our serious talk soon turned to laughing and joking and we eventually went to a gas station and grabbed some icecream.
When we pulled back up to my apartment it was after two AM and I wasnt ready to part ways with him yet. I hadnt seem him all week due to our work schedules.
"Can you stay with me tonight?" I asked. I just wanted more time with him.
"Of course baby." He parked the car and we headed upstairs, going straight to the bedroom. He took his hoodie and pants off, leaving him in a tshirt and boxers as I stripped down to my panties and changed into one of his old shirts he had left at my place.
There was nothing better than wearing your boyfriends shirt or hoodie.. Well except the closeness and cuddles that I was soon met with when we climbed into bed.
He layed on his back as I rested my head on his chest and cuddled up to his side. Our legs tangled together and his arm went around me.
"I love you baby." He kissed me softly.
"I love you too Justin."
