"Dwight, tatae ako. Sama ka pa rin?"

My forehead was creased as I shook my head.

She smiled sweetly at me that I almost couldn't see her eyes. "Akala ko sasama ka pa, e."

Pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon ay mahina pa siyang tumawa at pumasok sa banyo.

I sighed and looked at Gavin who was trying to stand up by himself. He already knew how to walk even he's just eleven months old.

Lumapit ako sa kaniya at ibinuhat siya. Agad naman itong humagikgik at itinuro ang pinto ng banyo sa first floor ng bahay kung saan pumasok si Aimi.

"Hmmte! Nya nya nya nya!"

I chuckled and pinch his left cheek. "Your Ate is pooping. She ate a lot earlier like you."

"Hmmbahh?!" His eyes grew bigger that made him looked more cute.

"Yes, she'll poop a lot. Let's wait for her, okay?" I raised my left eyebrow.

Tumango siya na parang naiintindihan niya ang sinabi ko. I pinch his cheek again ang went on the sofa in the living room. I played with him while waiting for Aimi.

I took a one month leave on my work just to make sure that she will not leave this house. I literally didn't leave her side for weeks now. I was always sleeping in her room with her baby between us. Palagi kong sinisigurado na mauuna siyang makakatulog sa akin at mauuna akong magigising sa kaniya. Palagi akong nasa tabi niya kahit sa panonood ng movie sa sala habang natutulog si Gavin. I was also the one who's always cooking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I even get paranoid when she's out of my sight!

I am not this kind of a person, I am just afraid that she will really leave me.

I didn't wait her for several years just to lose her again!

Napalingon ako nang marinig nang bumukas ang pinto ng banyo pagkatapos ng ilang minuto. Lumabas roon si Aimi na parang tanga kung makangiti. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay nang makalapit siya sa amin.

"What?" She pouted and looked away.

"You look stupid."

She turned her gaze back to me with a sarcastic face. "Oh, talaga? Bukas nga pala aalis kami ni Gav—"

"No way!" agad kong pagtutol.

Marahan siyang tumawa at hindi ko mapigilang hindi mapatitig sa maaliwalas niyang mukha.

"Huy, ipapasyal ko si Gavin, 'no! Sawa na kami dito sa bahay," sabi nito at umupo sa sahig kung saan ko inilagay ang kapatid niya kanina at saka nakipaglaro dito.

"Then let's go to the mall today," I suggested but she just shook her head.

"Shane will come here tomorrow. Kasama namin siya."

"Then I'll go, too."

"Kahit huwag na. Ilang linggo ka nang hindi pumapasok sa trabaho, baka masisante ka niyan?" Tumingin siya sa akin at tinaasan ako ng kilay.

"I—"

"Don't worry, Dwight. Hindi na ako aalis, promise."

Itinaas niya pa ang kanang kamay na parang nanunumpa pero hindi ko iyon pinaniniwalaan. Umiling ako at pinanliitan siya ng mga mata. "No."

"Promise nga kasi," pamimilit niya.

"Give me ten valid reason to believe that then," paghahamon ko rito.

I saw how she swallowed and how her eyes twitched. She cleared her throat and seemed to have thought of it.

"Ano... uhm... Wala!"
