"Ava, be quiet. We're supposed to surprise mommy" Mark whispered

"You look gorgeous" Carolyn said to Emma who got carried by Addison

"Mommy loves this dress" Emma giggled

"Okay guys, we're here. Everyone knows what they have to do?" Christopher smiled

"Yes!" Everyone nodded

Christopher slowly opened the door, revealing Meredith asleep in Derek's arms

"Mommy!" The girls woke her up

"Hey babies" Meredith whispered as she opened her eyes. Her smile grew wide as she saw her whole family walking into the room

"Hi Mer" Amy smiled

"Ready to go home?" Mark smirked

"You?" Meredith giggled "What did y'all do?"

"They did it because they love you" Derek kissed her neck softly

"You knew about this?" She weakly slapped his arm

"Of course" He chuckled and kissed her forehead

"Evil" She chuckled slightly

"When can you leave, dear?" Carolyn asked softly

"We already signed the discharge papers" Derek smiled

"I'll go grab a wheelchair" Mark smiled

"Is everything packed?" Carolyn asked

"Yeah. Only need to put on another sweater, her jacket and her shoes" Derek stood up and helped Meredith get ready with some help from his mom "We packed all the girls' drawings as well"

"Taxi Mark's here!" Mark wheeled the wheelchair into the room

"Okay dear, can you stand up?" Carolyn asked but Derek had to help her as she was unsteady on her legs

"Good job, Grey" Mark said

"Mommy can I sit on your lap?" Emma smiled widely

"Derek, can you help her?" Meredith looked at her husband

"Here you go princess" He smiled and set her down as he watched Ava grab her mom's hand

"Now let's go home because I'm starving" Mark laughed and pushed his sister towards the exit

The whole family made their way to the parking lot and helped Meredith into Derek's car before they all splitted and stepped into their own cars and started driving towards the dream house. They didn't take the ferry because Meredith was feeling nauseous already so they didn't want to trigger something

She slept through the car ride and he was happy for it, it meant she would be able to stay up a bit and hopefully enjoy the evening they had planned for her

"I'll carry her inside" Derek said as Amy and Addison grabbed the hands of the girls

Derek carried his wife inside and placed her down on the couch. It was a bit hard to walk through the living room with all the things they had planned for the evening

"Mer, wake up" He kissed her nose

"We're home?" She opened her eyes and laughed as she saw all the matresses on the ground in the living room "It's like we did back then" She held tight onto Derek's hand

"Welcome home dear" Carolyn smiled and kissed Meredith's head softly

"Thanks mom" Meredith smiled

"Family time!" Amelia announced and jumped down on the couch
