The next day didn't go smoothly at all either. After last night where the girls had been crying for Meredith, they had refused to sleep and even had caused Mark to almost lose his patience

When the girls were jumping up and down the next morning to finally see their mom they were extremely angry once Derek said they had to wait a bit longer

Meredith was doing awfully bad, she could barely stay awake for a few minutes and if she woke up she started throwing up

"No! We wanna see mommy!" Ava screamed

"Ava please" Addison begged

"No! Leave me alone!" Ava yelled and ran downstairs

"I wanna see mommy" Emma whimpered

"I know munchkin" Mark hugged the girl tight

"Can we please see mommy?" Emma asked

"We'll have to see later honey" Addison rubbed Emma's back

"But I want my mommy!" Emma cried out

...

"Shh, sit up a bit" Derek whispered as he helped Meredith drink a bit of water

Meredith was barely awake but sipped the cold liquid until she heard her daughters screaming

"Der- Girls" She whispered "Want.. girls"

"I know.. I know" Derek sighed

"Let them come" Meredith whispered before she laid down again

"Are you sure?" Derek asked

"Sleep" Meredith whispered

"I'll go get them" Derek nodded

"Now" Meredith added and was fighting to stay awake

A few minutes later she had given in but woke up again by her daughters climbing up the bed and wrapping their tiny arms around her frail body

"Hi" Meredith weakly smiled

"We missed you" Emma hiccuped

"We haven't seen you since yesterday!" Ava whined

"I'm sorry lovebugs" Meredith quietly said as she enjoyed her girls scooting closer

"Why couldn't we see you?" Ava asked quietly

"I'm a bit tired and the doctor said I needed a lot of sleep" Meredith kissed Ava's head

"I never want you to go away" Emma cried in her mother's arms

"I'm here honey" Meredith said and kissed Emma's head as well

"Why don't you three nap together, I bet you two are exhausted as well" Derek suggested

"With mommy" Emm said sternly and clenched tighter onto her mother

"With mommy" Derek assured them "I'll go check on aunt Addie and uncle Mark really quick"

Derek walked out of the room and was met by Mark and Addison. He broke down and felt both their arms wrapped around him

"I bet they're happy now" Addison rubbed Derek's back

"They are. I didn't wanna keep them from seeing her, but-" Derek shook his head

"But she's weak. She's very weak" Mark sighed

"So weak" Derek cried

"She'll be okay" Mark said sternly

"Yeah" Derek breathed

"Really. Believe in it!" Mark tried to cheer up his brother

"Mark, she is empty. She can't even stand up anymore. Have you seen her clothes? They're the smallest sizes and they are too loose" Derek breathed
