"kim ang sabi ko last patient na yun...  i need to go home early...  may pangako ako sa mga bata... " sabi ni doc chi-ling na nakatalikod dahil binalik nya sa file cabinet ang folder ng last patient nya...

"i guess it's rude na tanggihan mo ako... galing pa ako sa new york just to have an appointment with you and i'll be here for only a day or two... can i be your date after clinic time instead of your kids?" doc seah said in a gentle way...

"okay, have a seat...  it must be important dahil sinadya mo pa ako dito.. i'll cancel my date with my kids... but i need to give my word to them first if you can wait for a few minutes..." sagot naman ni doc chi-ling in a civil way...

"what is it all about?" doc chi-ling asked matapos nakausap ng masinsinan ang panganay nila ni doc deanna...
