"Well 'Chris Redfield' what the hell are you doing grabbing people and shoving them into your van!"
The man didn't respond to her question, he only answered with a question of his own.

"What's your name?"

"Karina Smith" Elizabeth lied, staring straight into the man's eyes, his face was stern and his eyes seemed harsh like he had seen unthinkable things in his lifetime.

"Bullshit, we know you're from the Village, we profiled everyone in this area before we moved the Winters here. So try again."
Elizabeth smirked, this man was smarter than she thought.

"Elizabeth Claydon," she told them "and if you're aware of the village and its Lords you'll know better than to fuck with me." Chris watched as the woman's expression turned to a smug one, of course, he was aware of the Lords, he had been working Recon with his team for the past year on Miranda and the Village, he knew what lay below the Village, the Megamycite, and he'd be damned if he let something like the Baker Estate incident happen again.

"Ah Miss Claydon, our associate has told us about you" Elizabeth's smugness disappeared at the man's words.
"what associate?" There was a slight bit of concern in her voice, she wanted to know how this man knew her.

Now it was Chris's turn to smirk " Well Mr Heisenberg of course." He said nonchalantly.

No, he couldn't possibly...how would Karl have kept this from her. "How do you know my husb- I mean, Heisenberg. "

"Well let's just say when he found us scoping around his grounds a while back, he captured a few of my men, all that flying metal scared the shit out of us, but once we got talking I realised we had a lot in common, wanting the mould gone, eradicated, so we made a deal, he helps us take down Miranda and we make sure him, and you, get out of the Village safe, he was very specific that our agreement had to have you in it."

Chris recollected the story of his first encounter with the Metal Lord, he was ready to kill the men on sight, and nearly did.

"If you're after Miranda..." Elizabeth trailed off, "then why are you here?"

"Because that woman in there, that isn't Mia Winters."

Elizabeth was stunned, that's impossible, but then again, was it? She knew Mia had been acting off but she thought it was just hormones she wouldn't of guess it was Miranda herself.

"But Miranda, she sent me here to watch the Winters, why would she send me here if she was coming herself ?" A wave of realisation washed over Elizabeth, she didn't trust her, Mirandas trust had faltered with her, most likely due to her relationship with Heisenberg. She could only pray when she returned to the Village Miranda would see that she did stick to her task and was loyal.

"I have no idea but I suggest you get back to the Village, Heisenbergs awaiting your return you'll be able to leave safely as soon as we kill Miranda and destroy the Megamycite."

Elizabeth couldn't believe her ears, freedom was so close she could almost taste it, but she knew it wasn't going to be easy.

"You can take Miranda on, but I'm not sure if you'll succeed Mr Redfield." The woman told him honestly, he nodded and thanked her, motioning for his men to let her out, they did so without a word and Elizabeth turned back to Chris.

"I wish you luck because you're going to need it."

Elizabeth's next plan for action, now knowing Miranda wasn't currently at the Village, was to get there as fast as she could, thankfully she had a bit of help with that, her mutation gave her strength that was naturally more powerful than the average human, but it also allowed her to run at around thirty miles an hour, but with all this rocky terrain she had to face to get back into the Village, she was going to be slowed down a bit.

She knew there was no point going back to her temporal home to retrieve her things so she set off immediately, running through the snow, the only thing on her mind being that she had to get Karl.
It didn't seem long until she came over the mountain range and the village came into view, it was always a breathtaking site, Castle Dimestrescu always being the main thing you see, then Castle Claydon in the forest, the windmills of the reservoir, Donna's House and the factory weren't really in sight but it was still a gorgeous view.

"Come on Elizabeth." She gave herself words of encouragement as she continued her journey to the factory, there was no need to run now as she walked through the old village. Everything in the village seemed normal, untouched by the chaos that would surely be coming soon.
The few villagers that were out at this acknowledged her as she passed them, in shock as she hadn't been seen for quite a significant amount of time, but the determined look on her face stopped them from speaking a word to her.

"HONEY I'M HOME!" her voice rang out around the area as she stood at the gates of the factory, Bolt was already there, making an array of sounds upon seeing Elizabeth, he had missed her the poor thing.
There was no response from Karl, not on the speakers and the gates hadn't opened.

"Bolt move out of the way." She instructed and he did as he was told, shuffling backwards away from the gate.
Elizabeth gave her neck a quick crack before she summoned the cold winter air and used it to blow the gates wide open. She entered the familiar terrain, feeling at home once again.

Bolt nuzzled his head into her and she petted the cold beast. She had a lot to talk to her fiance about, like why on earth he didn't tell her about Redfield.

"Let's go see where the metal head is"
