{Final Showdown Prt 2}



Elizabeth looked at her lover's unconscious body, a fire started within her seeing him like this, but she couldn't move, not yet,
Miranda turned towards Ethan...

"When I end you, and I will, me and Rose will live happily ever after, and don't worry, I'll make sure to tell her she never had a father." Her sinister laughter was accompanied by a ball of glowing red and black light forming over her head, her arms outstretched as she prepared to fire on the man.
Ethan looked up at Mirandas' floating figure, he couldn't reach his gun, he had nothing, this was it.

"No way bitch." Miranda gasped as her stomach was impaled by a rod of lighting, and rain started to pour down from the sky.
"My child... how could you do this to me?" Elizabeth's eyes widened as she saw her mother, she was clear as day.

"Mum?" She retracted the lighting, and the sight of her bleeding mother reduced her to tears, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she whispered over and over again until the sound of a shotgun came. A bullet hole went right through her mother's head, and the body of her mother shifted back into Miranda, pulling Elizabeth out of her dream-like state. Mirandas' body started to freeze up as her now dead body, taken over by mould.

The body began to crumble, and so did everything around it, the walls were down and in the place of Miranda's body, was Rose, lying peacefully, a smile on her face.
"Rose." Elizabeth cooed as she picked up the child gently. Her eyes rose to meet Ethans, he looked so much worse than before, but there was still a smile on his face, and his smile only grew as Elizabeth placed his baby girl back into his arms, where she belonged.

"Ethan.." Elizabeth spoke warily, "your hand".

The man looked down to see that his right hand was also crumbling, he didn't have a lot of time left and he knew it, he dropped to the floor on his knees, Rose still in his arms.

"Hang on Ethan" Elizabeth checked the man before running over to the mechanical body of Karl, she blasted it with a powerful gust of wind, taking away all of the metal, and revealing the human body of her lover, she let out a sigh of relief as she bent down to him, shaking him lightly to wake him up.

"What-what happened." His voice was tired and strained as he came out of his unconscious state.

"We won." Elizabeth smiled at him and she could see the relief on his face. The man's expression was quick to change as he saw that she was covered in blood and cuts. "I'm fine." She assured him, helping him up and quickly returning to Ethan.

Shouting started to be heard and Chris came into view, running towards the man and his daughter.

"Chris..." Ethan breathed out.

"Ethan you did it! It's finished." He comforted the dying man.

"I think we finished each other..." Elizabeth's heart broke as she watched the scene, his time was up, he was never going to see his child grow up, but one thing was for sure Elizabeth would never let Rose forget what her father did for her today.

"We've gotta move." Karl groaned, and pointed to the mould that was beginning to grow again. Chris hoisted Ethan up and the five started to make their way out of the Ritual site, they barely made it to the bridge before the Megamycite began to loom over them at an alarming size.

"Keep going Ethan, there's a bomb in that thing that will blow this place sky high."

Ethan was slowing down, he was trying but he couldn't do it.

"C'mon you've got to get to Mia, Mia's alive do you hear me!?" Chris needed him to keep moving, he had to keep moving, the thought he already failed Ethan once, he wasn't going to fail him again.

Mia was alive? So Rose still had her mother, that news certainly gave Elizabeth some warmth in her heart.

"Mia...?" He questioned.
"I'm so sorry...I love you...keep Rose safe."

Those were his last words to his wife, granted she never got to hear them but they were for her, his body began to drop after those words, his body decaying at a rapid pace, Chris caught him, not allowing him to fall. He handed Rose to Chris, "You can tell her that yourself, come on it's not much further." His words of encouragement fell on deaf ears as Ethan shrugged his jacket off and placed it on his daughter.

"Watch over her...teach her to be strong." He said to Chris through his tears, he then turned to Elizabeth, who was also letting tears fall from her eyes.

"You're still her Auntie, look after them both." He referred to Mia and Rose and she nodded quickly, she would look after them with all of her strength.
"And you-" he turned to Karl, "look after Elizabeth."

"Will do brother." Karl tipped his hat to him making Ethan smile a little.

A wave of Mold came between the group, Ethan took the opportunity to shove Chris out of the way and take the device that would set the explosive off. Elizabeth instinctively went in front of Chris in case the mould expanded any further and hit him or the baby.

"Goodbye Rosemary" Ethan sobbed, as a wall came between them.

"No!" Elizabeth shouted, trying to go after him but she was held back by Karl.

"We have to go now," Karl warned them and the four made a break for the plane, Chris said it wasn't much further but they still had to hurry, they didn't have a lot of time left.

"Rose!" Mia shouted as she ran to take her baby off of Chris, she held the baby tightly, smothering her into her chest, she spent a blissful moment upon being reunited with her daughter.

And then she saw Elizabeth.

That's when the strangest thing happened, Mia walked slowly across the plane to the woman and embraced her, Elizabeth was shocked by the hug and looked at Chris with a "what the fuck" face.

"I told her about what you did, how you helped." He stated and Elizabeth nodded, hugging the woman back.
